Save the most interesting one for last...

First, three games we knew about have release dates.

Mana Khemia 2 (PS2) in August and A Witch's Tale (DS) in the Fall (likely around Halloween). First pics of A Witch's Tale are up as well and it looks promising... sprite-based, of course.

And yes, obviously Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days (PSP) is coming over to North America, and it's pegged for a Fall release as well.

Now, the 3D game that you mentioned before, Hiryuu... it's The Last Rebellion (PS3) and it's scheduled for a North American release this fall, with no Japanese release announced yet. Looks like an action RPG developed by Hit Maker, the battle system focuses on disabling enemies by attacking their limbs. OK then.

The most surprising announcement, however, has to do with a game that has never been released in North America... scratch that. A series that has never seen a release in North America. A very, very popular series in Japan.

Give up?

For the first time ever, North America is getting a SAKURA WARS game!

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love (PS2 and Wii) is scheduled for release in the Fall. It's a port of Sakura Taisen V. There's a hitch, though... the game came out in Japan, obviously, but only for the PS2. That means NIS America and Idea Factory are actually porting the game over to Wii. This is going to be very interesting...

Yes, I just figured I'd give Hiryuu some reading material for the morning.

Oh yes. If nothing else, Disgaea 2 PSP is worth a all by itself.

I hope that doesn't get delayed and isn't butchered like Mana Khemia PSP, though.

Last Rebellion's getting a pretty cold reception as it is.

Both Sakura Wars and Disgaea 2 PSP I knew were headed this way, though I will admit I forgot about Sakura Wars making it over here since the conversation made by them when CROSS EDGE was coming over in March (lie).

Shrug at Mana Khemia.

Basically we're looking at Disgaea 2 PSP being worth it, Sakura Wars probably being worth it, shrug shoulders at the other two.

I was almost going to post a thread about Sakura Wars. Then found this.

I'm most looking forward to Mana Khemia 2 out of these. Aside from Cross Edge, which I better not forget to pick up.

Mana Khemia 2 *drools*

Disgaea 2 is cool, just not sure I feel up to it.

Well, I'd need to play Mana Khemia 1 first before I drool.

I'm still surprised on the Wii port of Sakura Wars... hopefully they don't ruin it with complex motion controls.

Last Rebellion... eh. Would need to see more, but considering it's a PS3 game those don't look like stellar graphics. Kotaku compared the system to Fallout 3 and that's apparently good, so... tough call.

There'll also be some more info on A Witch's Tale today as Kotaku stated they needed to wait for an embargo to lift. Right then.

I'll probably get Sakura Wars even though I've never heard of or played the series because it does sound interesting enough and god knows there's nothing else to get excited about for the Wii.

Um... Punch-Out next week?

(Well, at least for me.)

A Boy and his Blob also works very nicely too. And Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. And Cave Story. And Phantom Brave.

Let me re-phrase:

"Not much else to get excited about."

This just reflects my opinion though about what games I'm excited for.

Oh that's quite fair. I'd be one of the few people who probably wouldn't be excited for another Halo title if I had a 360, for instance.

But yeah. Take whatever the Wii gives you, that's my advice.
