Noticing the others were already going for the little bro, Naia stood between them and the Sr. Poffy. "I will be your opponent. Let us begin, shall we?" Tapping her staff lightly on the floor once, she muttered, "Synesis."

Pandaren growled as small surges of lightning sailed across his fur.

"Whoa! Sophie! This is great! We make a good team!"

He grinned at Sophie and launched himself at Jr. Poffy, raising both of his claws up in the air and heavily smashing them on him.

"Weak!"

Bracing themselves for combat, the four took the initiative in attacking the Poffys...

Sophie's experiment worked: Pandaren could feel himself grow stronger as a result of Sophie's Braveheart boost.

Reimu tossed the POW Block on the floor, setting off an earthquake that shook the entire building...

Jr. & Sr. Poffy: "Woaah!"

The Poffys both fell to the ground, with each of them taking 7 damage.

Naia's Check spell gained her some information about one of the Poffy Bros.:

DescriptionThe older of the two Poffy Brothers, an accomplished burglar duo.
Less hotheaded than his younger sibling, Senior still packs a decent punch. His Bombs are larger, and some can even cause a fireball when they explode. He has also mastered a doppelganger attack, which he likes to use to confuse his opponents into not attacking. Approach with caution.


Pandaren launched a heavy-hitting Superstrike on Jr. Poffy, smashing him for 14 damage!


The Poffys began retaliatory attacks...

Jr. Poffy: "Boomer Cutter!"

Launching his boomerang forward, it flew towards Reimu and struck her once for 5 damage before returning to hit her again for 7 more damage!

Senior Poffy didn't go into theatrics, preferring a simple boomerang strike on Pandaren. It hit him for 5 damage.

"... How do you dare to attack me from behind like that..."

In anger, she burnt Jr. Poffy in a blast of flames larger than usual, almost accidentally hurting the nearby Pandaren.

Pandaren sidestepped as a patch his fur was scorched.

"Watch it, you idiot! I'm on your side!"

Pandaren cracked his knuckles, but backed a bit away.

"I guess you guys should be cut down... but I think you have some valuables with you!"

He reached for his puch and pulled out an white hand, which grasped the air furiously.

"Let's put this StealingHand to use!", he shouted, as he threw it at Sr. Poppy with a spin.

"Now's my chance..." Pandaren's shifty fingers distracted the Sr. Poffy, leaving a perfect opportunity for Naia to attack him from behind. Sure, it's unsporting, but those boomerangs will chop their heads off if they're not careful. "Grando!"

An icy stalagmite shot up from right beneath the Sr. Poffy's legs. Looks like he won't be having kids anytime soon if that hits, heh heh...

Watching her friends going after both maniacs, Sophie wanted to prepare for an attack as well. However, just as she took a step backward to get a better aim, she stumbled over something.

"Oh, whoops.. what was that?"

Sophie was in shock as she realized what she just stumbled over: the huge bomb Sr. Poffy placed there earlier.

"Oh GOD! Why did no one tell me that was there?!" Before doing anything else, Sophie quickly escaped to square 9 so she wouldn't get caught in the blast if someone set that bomb off.

Reeling from the quick attacks by the Poffys, the four try to keep themselves out of the range of their explosives...

Reimu lit Jr. Poffy on fire, the flames surrounding him with their searing heat.

Jr. Poffy: Yowowow!

The shorter Poffy took 7 damage from the attack.

Pandaren's Hand flew through the air at Sr. Poffy, snagging the large bomb that was still lying on the floor and bringing it back to Pandaren. The Super Bomb was definitely more powerful than the smaller bombs they had found previously...

Naia's Ice attack only grazed Sr. Poffy as it shot out of the floor, dealing him 5 damage.

Sophie ran off to square 9, though she didn't find anything on the square...


Jr. Poffy pulled out a Bomb from his bag and lit it.

Jr. Poffy: You can run, but you can't hide!

Chucking the bomb at Sophie, it hit her and exploded... the blast did 4 damage to her.

Sr. Poffy, turning to grab his Super Bomb, found that it had somehow disappeared...

Sr. Poffy: Hm? I thought I left it right here... ah well.

Reaching back to his bag, he pulled out a smaller, bright red bomb.

Sr. Poffy: Let's see how you like this one, hm?

He threw the bomb at Pandaren's feet, where it exploded into a pillar of flames! They scorched him for 6 damage...

"Arh..!" Sophie was flung through the air by the explosion.

"You.. you little..!" She tried to speak, but she couldn't say more than single words -- the explosion attack had filled her with anger. Her eyes began to lit up in a bright red color, then she got up and turned towards Jr. Poffy.

"Well, then try to hide from THIS!" The light from Sophie's eyes vanished. She jumped forward, as if she were to punch Jr. Poffy from a distance, but out of her hands came a massive burst of fire instead, directly aimed towards Jr. Poffy's face.



After a few seconds, Sophie cooled down and looked at her hands. "Wait, ... fire?"

"Your persistence is admirable... but annoying, nonetheless." A Seal of Metatron formed around her, embracing her with an aura of divine power that brought chills to her soul. She levitated about twelve inches off the ground, pointing her staff menacingly at the Jr. Poffy. "If you refuse to leave us alone, begone! Vol Grando!"

The room's temperature dropped a good twenty degrees as the air around the Jr. Poffy began to condense to a frigid mist. The water vapor solidified, forming a series of perfect -and very sharp- crystals, all pointing at the explosive little bandit. With a swift motion of her staff, Naia commanded the crystals to simultaneously drop on top of the Jr. Poffy, burying him in a pile of frozen slush.

While worried about not having been able to defeat Jr. Poffy with that attack and Sophie being hit, a red sphere flew past Reimu, causing an explosion where Pandaren was.

Immediatelly after she looked at him, a larger, hot, fire blast also flew past her to the same area, this time hitting Jr.

"... I guess that means you guys are all ok..."

Seeing the icy overkill on the poor Jr. Poffy by Naia, it was rather safe to assume that he wouldn't make it out of that this time. She shrugged and pulled out the bomb from before, throwing it towards Sr. Poffy.

Pandaren coughed. His fur was badly burnt and a small drop of blood dripped from his mouth. He quickly wiped it away.

"Just a minor setback. Take this!"

Pandaren's claws started glowing and he jumped at Sr. Poffy, trying to hit him with a SuperStrike.

After the explosive encounter with the Poffys' bombs, the four adventurers just came back at them, angrier than before...

Sophie let loose a blast of flames at Jr. Poffy, surprising both herself and her target, who was scorched for 4 damage.

Naia followed the heat with a chilling Ice attack, hitting Jr. Poffy for 6 more damage and causing him to slump to the ground...

Sr. Poffy: Ah! Junior!

The older brother tried to run to help, but he was hit by the blast from Reimu's Bomb on the way. Launched into the air, Sr. Poffy came crashing to the ground after taking 13 damage.

After picking himself up, Sr. Poffy was slammed to the ground again by Pandaren's Superstrike, which landed for a huge 17 damage!



Sr. Poffy: Oof...

Staggering a little as he got back up, Sr. Poffy had a determined look in his eye...

Sr. Poffy: Hm... Time for a little fun!

Grabbing a bomb from his bag, he jumped into the air above the four adventurers...

...and somehow, four different-colored copies of Sr. Poffy came down from the jump, each holding a bomb!

Sr. Poffy clones: Hehe... What will you do now? While all but one of me are illusions, these bombs are very much real...so choose right, or face the consequences!

(Naia's Shield wore off.)

"Illusions, eh...?" Naia grinned, pointing at each of the Sr. Poffy images. "Eenie, meenie, miny, die!" She backflipped to square 10 before Pandaren's bomb hit the ground, then turned 180 and faced the red Sr. Poffy with raised staff in hand. "Vol Grando!" she yelled, firing four ice projectiles in rapid succession.

Sophie ducked from Naia's icy attack in the last second. As she got up, she saw a massive bolt of ice stuck in the wall behind her, approximately in the same height as her head. "Whoa, Naia. Next time when you hand out free popsicles, let me know beforehand, okay?"

Seeing almost all of the clones well being taken care of already, Sophie scratched her head, then went to the one nobody touched yet and just punched it in the head.

Sr. Poffy's split-up attack may have backfired on him, since his targets simply split up and tackled each one of the four Poffys...

Pandaren lobbed the Super Bomb towards the square with the green Sr. Poffy. Unfortunately, he didn't give Naia enough time to react... before she could complete her backflip, the bomb went off, catching both the green Poffy and Naia in its blast... Naia took 7 damage from the blast. Luckily, the real Sr. Poffy was the green one, so he also took 25 damage from the point-blank bomb blast...

Sr. Poffy: Ugh...

The other three clones faded away as the older Poffy brother slumped to the floor, defeated.

Sr. Poffy: *huff-* Well *-puff* done, you four...

Coughing a bit, he got unsteadily to his feet.

Sr. Poffy: It's been quite some time since I've found a group of travellers who could defeat both my brother and me... I must say, it was a very...exhilarating experience.

He attempted to smile, but began coughing again.

Sr. Poffy: In any case, since you won, I suppose we'll have to give you some reward...

Turning back to his bag, he pulled out four small gold-colored Grab Bags and four small bags of 20 coins each from the large sack. The elder Poffy gave one of each bag to each adventurer.

Sr. Poffy: Again, congratulations. Unfortunately, we must take our leave...

Walking over to where his younger brother lay, Sr. Poffy picked Jr. up and carefully put him in his huge bag. Turning back to the four, he smiled and went back down the stairs to the bottom floor of the building.

As he left, 500 Star Points made their way up the stairs. Splitting into four groups of 125 each, the SP surrounded each of the adventurers...

(OOC @ Cirvante: I know I said before that if you moved to another square you wouldn't be hit by the blast, but since Pandaren made his action before you did, his bomb attack came before your move off the square. To avoid that, he would have had to made his action after you did by editing out or deleting his first post, then reposting his action after you moved.)
