I have a bad habit of staying logged on overnight, after I go to bed.

Could it be possible to make it so that you automatically get logged off if you aren't doing anything for about a hour?

Is there anything bad about being logged in overnight? I'm logged on all the time. I would really hate this idea though.

Unless you've got people that use the same computer as you and you're worried that they'll see any real reason to post as you, I don't really see much of a point...moreso if you choose to save your passwords on a browser or somewhere that's easily accessible like most people seem to do.

I've always kept logged in.

It's possible but kind of silly unless you're logged on to, like, a bank account that will cause imminent doom if somebody else gets at it.

Wikipedia does that. It's horribly annoying.

It would only make sense if there was an option "Remember me", as in other boards.

I remember that NSider used to do auto logout after like, 15 minutes and it annoyed the hell out of me. I wrote a review once for a game and went to post it only to find out that I'd been logged out and the review was lost. That's why nowadays any time I make a long post I'll Select All and Copy it just in case anything happens while posting.

I could see it coming in handy, but not for me. I would prefer it to just keep me logged in. I'm also the only one that uses my computer regularly though. If I know I'm going to let someone else use it, I'll just open up FireFox and Ctrl+Shift+Del to clear private data.
