And now for the juicy stuff! You and YD still an item? I never asked her but she was fairly abrupt in her conversation in #x (irc.badnik.net in IRC) the other day so I never really pointed it out.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get to finish school, but it sounds like you're in a comfortable place right now anyway, so congrats!

And uh... haha no YD and I are not "an item." Haven't been for a long long loooooong time. But I do have a wonderful girlfriend right now! In fact she just left my house to go home, hence why I'm back to posting here.

I don't really use IRC much anymore. I'm just never home. And if I am home, I'm not sitting at my computer with nothing to do. Maybe I'll have more time over the summer, I can pop in and grace you all with my presence.

And yea, most of us just post here in spare and free time. It's easier for me working around comps a lot but I keep fairly busy when the economy is NOT as shitty as it is. I'm back down to 40 hours, four days a week, so I have more time to visit and maintain stuff here but even that's not nearly as much as what I used to do back when the responsibilities were no more than just 'hurrr show up for college'.

Hell, it's only been three years and the whole life perspective got flipped and shit. It kinda sucked for a while actually. :\ I'm glad it worked out the way it did though.

Eh, we didn't have much of a chance. I'll speak for myself in saying that I was too stubborn and stupid to accept it at the time. But it's all good, you know? Life is great, I'm happy, I really can't complain.

"hurr show up for college" is tough for me.

My classes are mostly English, which require shitloads of reading every day and about twice as many shitloads of writing. It's a neverending cycle, it keeps me busy. Then I've got my education classes which require 40 hours a semester of classroom observation and analysis, which is outrageously time consuming. Doesn't sound like much, but it is. Then I of course have work, and a social life to top it all off. College keeps me busy.

You'll find that it winds down a little bit in that regard once you get out...course the load of responsibility for the rest of you life bites down as well I notice. So you'll probably just trade one busy aspect for another once you get done.

But hey I'm glad that you stuck it out as long as you have. I wish I could say the same for myself but I might just get my butt back in there eventually. If I don't do that, then I'll at least get my butt certified in something by this year (hopefully, I've looked over certain certification materials lately).

Generally, it's just people disagreeing with the way I ran things, thinking they could do it better, and rather than actually speak with me, they use their access to take over. Hence, now that I host this place, there's none of that shit.

We also pretty much exterminate any drama on sight... it's fine to be silly or goofy or whatever, but if you're here to cause trouble, you won't be here very long.

We must be doing something right, at least.

Yeah, when I finish school then I'm going to actually be teaching, which is kind of a nightmare of a job for the first few years until you find your groove. Or so I'm told. But at least it'll feel more worthwhile than what I'm doing now.

You should totally try to finish up your degree. Weren't you close to being done?
