There isn't so much a filesize limit (that I know of) on the Wii, as there is a lack of space on the Wii itself to hold it all. The Wii's onboard storage capacity is actually pretty tiny (512MB total) considering it is taken up by VC, Wiiware, Misc Channels, and all of your savefiles. (both to all of the already mentioned things, and to retail games as well.)
Also, up until recently the maximum capacity of an SD card was only 2GB, and there was no way to launch anything you downloaded to an SD Card either.. That's changed now, but I believe it would still be considered "bad practice" to release anything on Wiiware that the system's onboard storage can't easily contain itself. (not everyone owns an SD Card, nor should they have to in order to download something they've just purchased in the store.)
There are probably a number of other little issues as well.. For all I know the VC and other junk you store on a SD Card aren't really launched from the Card itself, but instead just dumped into the Wii's storage space temporarily.. thus even if you could download it, anything that would be too big for the Wii itself just wouldn't work. (and it REALLY wouldn't surprise me if this is how it works.)
Of course this is me assuming MvC2 is hefty enough in size (hefty enough to come close to that 512MB limit, or over it) that this is indeed the problem at all and not literally some obscure filesize limit that the system has. (though this would be the first I've ever heard of such a limit myself if that's the case.)
Edit:
I actually just read somewhere (not sure if it is true) that Nintendo enforces a policy that limits the maximum size of any Wiiware added to their store.. So this would go along the lines of my "bad practice" example, where larger files are frowned upon simply because the Wii's internal storage is so small to begin with. (though it's pretty dumb if the game is being held back based on a policy alone, and not due to an actual hardware limitation of the system..)

I can wait another two weeks for this. After all, PS3 folks got the exclusive demo. But at least we have an opportunity to finally play some fucking MVC2! WOO!

I didn't even play the demo after I downloaded it. Actually, I don't think I've been on my Ps3 since I downloaded the demo. I just played it on my Dreamcast instead.

I think the Soundtrack will be availiable for download a few weeks after the title is released. Last I hear it will be free.
What team you used Kirby? I can get cheezy with Storm, but I don't main her.

I figured it was going to be released later. I also figured out that using my own music works just fine, as long as I remember to turn down the 360 music player's sound down a bit. I know MvC2's music is nostalgic, but I realized games tend to feel more fresh to me when I have a change of music.
As for the team, I find myself going back to Mega Man, Sakura, and Hayato. I should probably try other characters out, but if I deviate too much, I'll wind up dominating Cpu and JDavis too much if I don't use my usuals
