| Heroes won't be back again until September 24th, but in the meantime, the show itself is nominated for an emmy, as well as the cast. More here. Which reminds me, when does season one head to DVD? |

| Wow this thread is old, but I didn't feel like making a new one and I need to rant.
If you haven't seen tonight's episode, don't read below:
Weak. I was so looking forward to tonight's episode and during the last 30 minutes, I was let down. I'm tired of the camera pulling away during intense fight scenes. I really wanted to see that battle with Peter, Nathan and Sylar. And if Claire's blood can heal and it brought back HRG from the dead, why didn't they use her blood to bring back Nathan? I think this was a cop -out to take Sylar out for a while so the actor can work on other projects but still leave a door open in case they want Sylar to return. Also, when Claire ran into the hotel room and found Peter and asked him if he could fly after Sylar and Nathan, Peter said that he couldn't. But being around Sylar, wouldn't Peter keep/gain flight? A few seconds later we see Nathan being thrown back into the hotel room and Sylar is flying outside. We can assume that Sylar got flight from Nathan after Peter was away from him, but it just seems to me that there's way too many plot holes as of late. Sorry for this rant, I'm just PO'ed about not seeing that fight.

...You actually took the time to dig for this thread when you could've posted a new one?

| Yes. The season is over, no need to make a new one...I doubt this will get any replies towards my rant anyway. This section of Jul scares people away for some reason...

Yes, Heroes was lame.
I'm also wondering why Sylar could fly. And then why Peter couldn't.
Or why Peter was limping around when Sylar had Claire's healing power.
Seriously, the second half of the episode had more holes than swiss cheese. They took creative liberty, and ended up screwing things up.

Peter's always been a bit slow to pick up how to do things. Sylar couldn't fly in the same way Nathan did; he was almost certainly using his telekinesis to pull a few tricks (like how he did that one guy's puppet thing without having actually taken his ability--don't forget, he had given him to Danko). If nothing else, he's never shown any abilities that he didn't gain by actually cutting heads open (ignoring the empathy thing with Elle earlier in the season; needless to say, does not apply here), and Nathan was definitely still alive and conscious until he bled out.
Also, if you noticed, the next scene Peter was (almost) fully healed.
But yeah, if I had to guess, the major Sylar=Nathan cop-out was because the Petrellis in general are seriously screwed up people. Angela saw that Parkman had to save him, and Parkman certainly couldn't do anything healingwise, so... she filled in the blanks with what he could do.
Yes, still a seriously messed up ending. But on the other hand... they killed Nathan off at the end of every previous season. Did anyone seriously believe he'd make it all the way through this one?
(I kinda see why they're so insistent on pretending season 2 never happened, but... there are still things that they should have brought forward. Alright, so I really just want Adam to come back, but... yeah!) |

| I totally agree, I want Adam back, but that won't happen. That character was brilliant and could have been used in a great way in later seasons.

Adam could've made a good villian, but they disposed of him too soon.
But the manner in which they disposed of him was good.

Heroes has finally been canceled by NBC. First we had rumors that they would be back for a final short season but I guess that was just a rumor.
Heroes died for me last season. Actually, about the time of the writer's strike. If you have the DVD set, it shows an alternative ending that is much better than the ending that they went with due to the strike.

I'm glad it's finally over. They didn't do enough last season to redeem the show in my eyes. There was one good episode, followed by 3 mediocre ones. I could tolerate a 2 hour TV movie to wrap everything up, but that's it for me.
