Anyways, on the topic of Azumanga. I absolutely HATE the anime, I just couldn't get into it at all, it was just far too slow for me.

The manga on the other hand is pure hilarity and funny from start to finish.

Yeah, it took me a bit of getting used to, going directly from reading the manga to starting to watch the series. I ended up taking a break from it and then waiting a while before I went back to it, so I wasn't making as many comparisons; I was watching it for its own merit instead.
