Seeing that Fate didn't have anything to help her get her items back from the Tokay, Maple sighed and went back to arguing with the Tokay in the hut. Fate left the hut and went searching on the beaches. She found a Tokay standing on the beach holding something... Tokay: "Huh? I've never seen a Tokay like you. You have ears. Are you a long-eared Tokay?" The Tokay noticed Fate's bag, and saw something in it that it liked... Tokay: "What is that red-spotted thing in your bag? ... A Mushroom? That's a strange name! I'll give you my bottle if you give me one of those!" --- Elsewhere, Lily swam out to the sea to check the strange object she noticed earlier. She found a broken-down raft stuck on some seaweed. While the raft was no longer seaworthy, with large holes in it, it did have a bag on it, and it didn't look empty... Lily grabbed the bag and swam back to shore. Inside she found 10 slightly rusted coins, as well as a strange peach-like object... ... Turning the peach upside-down, she noticed that it looked familiar... It was a Piece of Heart! --- Eppy, going beachcombing, was ambushed by a Red Leever. It ran him over, doing 5 damage to him. --- X, searching the area near the temple they came out of, found a Tokay hiding behind a palm tree. Tokay: "I found this by the sea. It was next to a Tokay with no tail. ... Hey! You don't have a tail, either. But you're not the Tokay I saw before... "Do you know the Tokay this belongs to? ... If you see that Tokay again, you can give this to her." The Tokay handed Maple's hat to X. Tokay: "That's all I picked up, but maybe other Tokay took stuff, too. But maybe not. ((Wow, I like the graphic work you've put into this =o)) Lily smiled, as much as one could with a snorkel mouthpiece in his or her mouth. She placed her pouch on the wrecked raft and began collecting her spoils. "A Piece of Heart," she thought. "A Piece of Heart... Waitaminute... The bombchus, the business shrub, Labrynna's Crescent Island.. Why in the world are we receiving gold coins instead of rupees? Unless... they're hidden in bushes..." She nodded to herself for a bit. Lily closed her pouch and then swam back to land. "A bag of holding, containing all sorts of dodads and dohickeys." She sighed as she started wading out of the water. "I think I've, like, got some scoped weapon in there.. And yet I have nothing that can help get rid of the salt out of my hair." She removed her goggles and stuffed it into her pouch after shaking as much water as she could loose. She then marched over to her equipment. "I'll have to see if I can find some bushes.. Wait.. There's totally gotta be some caves around here. And caves must always have something awesome in it. Or at least something in it. Buuut.. I really want to know if there're rupees inside bushes around here.." Lily looked all around her. Plenty of palm trees and fine sand. "I think I should head to some higher ground. There's gotta be some tall bushes up there." Lily wiped her face with her neckerchief before tying it back around her neck. She placed her pink cap on her head, but did not bother trying to fit her hair, nor her head, in it. Finally, she picked up her gloves and boots and held them under her arms. "I think I'll stick with the none script format for a bit." She nodded to herself once again before making her way to Square 5. ____________________

Although Fate wasn't really too perturbed that she had a lizard going through her sizable inventory, she didn't care for the long-eared comment. Momentarily tugging her right ear, she was pretty sure that they weren't that big... Fate: Er... She shook her head. Mushroom. Right. Fate: I...guess that's not too big of a trade. I've got another one just in case. Although that was true, Fate really didn't hope that she would get beat to death by another overpowered monster or get unlucky again and fall into one of those dank pits. She would have to check on if that was a curse when she got back...maybe something she ate? Parting with the Mushroom she had, she complied and exchanged it for the Bottle that the lizard had. She took a look at it. Fairly plain...although now that she thought about it, she hadn't really had much to drink since she got her. She figured a Syrup wouldn't be too great of a sip and that TastyTonic looked a little too good to be true. Some water maybe? Syrup water? Sugar water? Fate: Eh... Figuring on a quest to quench a thirst, Fate headed off in the direction of water, which she spotted around the area of square 16. ____________________

Having retrieved one of Maple's lost items, the four looked around for something to help reclaim the others... Lily, just recovered from her swim, didn't see the Red Leever that had dug its way out of the sand behind her... It rammed into her, doing 6 damage. Eppy fired an electric blast at the Leever, zapping it for 5 damage and paralyzing it! Fate, looking closely at the bottle she'd received from the Tokay, noticed it had some sort of liquid inside it... opening the lid, she could smell the sweet scent of Syrup. It was a Syrup Jar, containing enough syrup for everyone to have some... (A Syrup Jar will restore FP to the entire party. A very useful item!) Unfortunatetly, an Octorok had snuck up on Fate, smacking her with a rock fired from its mouth... she took 4 damage. X walked to the hut where Maple was still haggling with the Tokay... Maple: "Ah! My hat!" She took the hat from him, dusted the sand off of it, and put it on. Maple: "You got it back from that Tokay, huh?...Too bad this one isn't being as helpful." She shot the Tokay behind the counter a particularly menacing glance... Leaving the hut, X walked to the top of a cliff, where he found a tree growing in a well-tended meadow. Three large orange seeds were hanging from it... A sign near the tree had some nearly incomprehensible writing on it. It seemed to read "Scent Tree: Produces smelly Scent Seeds." X turned back to the tree and picked the three Scent Seeds from it. They might come in handy for something... Lily: Agh! What was that.. Did you, like, follow me all the way here!? Well then, chumpo, get ready to be launched. Lily slowly began putting on her gloves when she realized something. Her defense had went down. Lily: ... Exit, stage left! She grabbed her pink hat before taking off past the Red Leaver. Lily: This is bad, this is bad, this is bad... Huh? Hey, is that a Scent Tree? My savior! Ah..? Lily slowed down when she realized there were no seeds left on the tree. Her eyes widened until she noticed X. Lily: You! You must have one! She ran up to X and grabbed him by the collar with the same hand that was holding the pink hat. Lily: Throw a Scent Seed! For the love of all that's sacred, throw a Scent Seed! The red head turned around. There was no sign of the Red Leaver. It must be moving beneath the ground. Lily: It could pop up at any time.. Lily released X and continued running. She eventually caught sight of Fate. Lily: Ah? Ah! Little Miss Reaper! Lily stood next to Fate, panting a bit. Lily: Hey! Think you can.. Think you can use a Mushroom on me? I promise I'll give you one to have in your inventory after this! Lily turned around. Her eyes were darting everywhere while she was putting her boots back on. Lily: Where's it at.. Aha! Crackshoot! Lily jumped into the air, lifting one of her legs high before dropping it down for a Superstrike on the Red Leaver that was attacking her. ____________________

Fate: Mm knna fs frst n th grndd hrr... She said this, face-first in the ground, from the rock that just bashed her forward. She got up, saw red, pitched a Mushroom Lily's way before turning back to the Octorok that DARED knock her into the sand that she was still choking up. Fate: EAT THUNDER YOU INSUFFERABLE @#)(!*)(!@!@ PHOTON LANCER!! Fate released several more Thunder orbs around her that shot forward, crashing into the Octorok. She walked over, still steaming, and picked up the Syrup Jar that she had dropped and put it back in her stash. Fate: Just a little drink of water...nooooo...can't have that without tasting beach sand... ____________________

The four were occupied now with enemies, which seemed to be more difficult than what they had previously faced... Eppy zapped the paralyzed Leever with more electricity, doing 4 damage to it. ----- Eppy realized the power of Thunder Lv2! Thunder Lv.2 - 4SP - Launch a stronger electric attack that has a higher chance to cause paralysis. ----- Lily's Superstrike was slightly mis-aimed and only grazed the Leever, doing 6 damage to it. Fate, seething, first tossed a Mushroom to Lily, healing her for 10 HP. Turning to the Octorok, she shot her Photon Lancer at it, blasting the Octorok and doing 5 damage to it. X looked down at his Scent Seeds. Without a seed satchel to keep them in, he had to keep them in his bag... Scent Seed A smelly seed that only grows in certain areas. Cracked seeds attract enemies to their scent. If thrown, causes minor damage and can cause confusion. Looking up, he noticed Lily having trouble tackling the Leever that had popped from the sand. He dashed over to attack it, giving it a good punch for 4 damage. The Leever that Eppy had paralyzed couldn't move to attack... The Leever attacking Lily came after her again, smacking into her for 6 more damage. Lily: Time to play hero ag-- Huh? Lily realized Eppy had already delivered Fate a mushroom. Lily: Aw man. Totally stealing my thunder. Oh well. Wait, wait a minute. Weren't you somewhere south...? She suddenly realized Eppy had charged off to continue fighting the Red Leaver he was already fighting. Lily: Whatever. Alright. Let's try this one more-- Why didn't you throw one of them like I said to!? Lily remembered X had helped her out with the Red Leaver. Unfortunately, the Red Leaver was conscious and still packing pain. Lily: One of us ladies could could have gone by with less damage, you know! Whatever. This should totally finish the job. The red haired adventurer rushed at the Red Leaver that was attacking her, and slightly popped the creature into the air with an uppercut. Lily: 100 Fist! Lily unleashed a barrage of punches onto the Red Leaver, somehow keeping the creature hovering in the air. Time almost seemed to have slowed down when Lily lowered her right arm for another uppercut. KA-KIIIIIIIIIIN! Lily finished her Superstrike with an atmosphere piercing uppercut, launching the Red Leaver into the sky. Lily then turned around and ran a thumb under her nose as her foe twinkled in the sky. Unfortunately, she was no longer paying attention to the Red Leaver. Of course, why should she? There was no way it could have enough health left, allowing it to come back down and cause her more harm. ____________________

Still trying to rid themselves of all the enemies, the four continued to pound away... Eppy, after tossing a Mushroom to Fate to help her restore 10 HP, fired a wave of Ice at the paralyzed Leever, striking it for 5 damage and causing it to disappear. In its place were 100 SP and 10 coins... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eppy - Level Up HP increased by 3! FP increased by 2! Attack increased by 1! Defense increased by 1! Magic Attack increased by 1! Magic Defense increased by 1! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lily's 100-fisted Superstrike dealt the Leever 13 damage before launching it away... She and X shared the 120 SP and 12 coins it left behind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X - Level Up HP increased by 3! FP increased by 1! Attack increased by 1! Defense increased by 1! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X, jumping in to assist Fate, slammed the Octorok with a Superstrike for 14 damage! It never stood a chance... He and Fate shared the 96 SP and 8 coins that were left in its place.
