With just the dark to keep them company, the four searched through the inky blackness...

Keeping to the walls, Kattwah picked up some loose change from the floor, 5 coins in all.

Sukasa found something growing...a PoisonShroom. Probably not a good idea to munch on it...

Darkdata found a dirty coin on the ground...even in the lack of light he could make out a frog's face on it.

William also found 5 coins tossed on the ground.

Feeling their way through the murky blackness, the four try to find some source of light...

Darkdata sees an unlit torch on the wall, being pried loose by a small hooded figure... As he approached it, it yanked hard on the torch, snagging it off the wall and running into the darkness with it...

Kattwah also noticed a strange hooded figure, which made off with the torch from that wall just as he got near...

William heard something from farther into the shaft. It sounded like...voices?

???: "You guys got somethin' to help see with? ... Great, yeah, those'll work fine... ... Okay, we'd best get ready to get outta this joint..."

Sukasa didn't find anything on the square...

....

Suddenly, a light filled the shaft near the adventurers...

Looking towards it, the four could see someone holding a lit torch.

???: "Hey, I thought I told you guys to get all the good stuff from here?"

The person speaking was a top-hatted purple crocodile, who was looking down at three of the same hooded figures from earlier. He pointed at the four adventurers...

Croco: "If you got all the good stuff, then why do I see a whole bunch of good stuff in those bags over there?"

One of the hooded figures shrugged, which earned it a hefty whack on the head.

Croco: "Idiots! Looks like we're gonna have to take care o' these guys before we can get outta here."

Reaching into his bag, the crocodile pulled out a bomb. He turned to the four adventurers, tossing the bomb idly into the air.

Croco: "So, ya got some nice loot there, don't ya?"

The crocodile smiled menacingly...

Croco: "Mind handin' it over? I won't have to go so hard on ya if ya do..."

William glanced at the crocodile with a look of familiarity. Obviously William knew who he was since it was painstakingly obvious. No other bad character was like him. In fact it was one of William's favorite baddies simply because he wasn't a complete failure.

William didn't seem to want to take him seriously though.

William: Oh, we have loot. We have lots of loot. However I seemed to have left a lot of it at home base. Hang on a sec. I'll see if I can redirect you to my pal.

William pulled out what seemed like a walkie talkie. He pressed the only button on it.

William: Yo, Rixe, do you have my stash of goods in the room right now?

A girl's voice echoed through the only speaker.

???: Huh?

William: ...uh...

???: Oh. OH! You wanted that little dinosaur guy. Yeah, he left.

William: What!? Where did he go!? He was supposed to keep watch!

???: Yeah, about that. He left me in charge. Said he was gonna give me a lot of neat stuff if I did like this Wii console and this awesome collection of DVDs, some Nerds jelly beans that you only get during the Easter holiday, um...

William: But he doesn't own... those...

???: Then I guess you are giving them to me. Tee hee!

William: WHAT!?

???: Well if you are going to be this rude to me then I'll just hang up on you.

William: This isn't a freaking phone call!

???: Well duh! Are you thinking, "Lurenia is an idiot dur hur hur?" Because I'm not an idiot you jerk!

William: Get Rixe right now!

No response.

William: LURENIA!

Nothing. Lurenia wanted nothing to do with William now.

Frustrated, William stashed the walkie talkie, then moved his eyes to the left to notice that Croco was just looking at him with a dumbfounded look.

William: Well...

William smiled and chuckled. He was screwed.

William: Yeah, we have loot in these bags. Like...

William rummaged through the spoils throughout the tower trip. He pulled out a Mystery Capsule.

William: This thing!

He threw it at Croco, which was a rather stupid thing to do in retrospect but it could work out for William... or just do nothing. It could also probably figure out the meaning to life, the universe, and everything.

No, but it'd do something that would start a fight regardless.

Kattwah seemed to instinctively tighten his drawstring satchel as the purple crocodile blathered on. He simply laughed and pulled out a pair of goggles and slipped them on. He tossed them to the rest of the group before pulling out his Dizzy Dial

Kattwah: Mmmm... sticky fingers... Sorry, but I dont think we have anything that you'll be too interested in...

However...

Let's see how well you fare when I put a spin on things.

Kattwah chucks the dial at the ground, and from there spouts what seems to be the wheel to a boat, hovering in midair. With a rather large grin Kattwah grabs the edge of the wheel and throws it spinning in one direction... taking the universe into a barrel roll with it.

Refusing Croco's offer to give up without a fight, the four took the initiative and started attacking him...

William's Mystery item cracked open before it reached Croco, revealing a LifeShroom......

Croco: "Huh?"

Catching the item, he put it in his bag.

Croco: "Hey, thanks bud! I can always use one of those... heh heh..."

Suddenly, Croco's world was turned upside-down by the force of Kattwah's DizzyDial. He stumbled around a bit, confused by the spinning...

Darkdata targeted Croco with a blast of Ice, chilling him for 5 damage.

Sukasa followed it up with a blast of Fire, scorching him for 8 damage.


Croco, confused, tried unsuccessfully to regain his bearings.

Croco: "Woah... Stop the room, I'd like to get off... "

He hadn't noticed that Sukasa's fireball had set the tip of his tail alight...

Croco: "Yeowch!"

Turning around, he spent the turn dousing the fire on his tail.

His three henchmen got to work though: the three Crooks ganged up on Darkdata, stealing two of his items: a Mushroom and a Syrup!

The Crooks had begun their dirty work, already snatching some items from the four adventurers. Angrily, the four struck back at them...

Kattwah prepared a Kattystrike for the third Crook, smashing him for 9 damage!

Kattwah realized the power of Superstrike Lv2!
Superstrike Lv.2 - 5SP - Launch a stronger attack that always lands a critical hit.

Sukasa scorched the second Crook for 5 damage, though his cloak didn't catch on fire as Croco's tail had...

Sukasa realized the power of Fire Lv2!
Fire Lv.2 - 4SP - Launch a stronger fire attack that has a higher burn chance.

William, seeing that his Mystery wasn't the best of items to have been tossing to the enemy, attacked the confused Croco for 4 damage.

Darkdata took the opportunity to exact some revenge on the Crooks, in the form of an icy blast at the first Crook. It hit for 2 damage.


Croco, still confused, lit the Bomb that he was still holding.

Croco: Four on three ain't really fair, is it? Let's see if ya can handle this...!

Wobbling a bit, Croco lobbed the bomb at Sukasa. It hit its target and exploded.... Sukasa took 10 damage from the blast.

The Crooks turned their attentions to Sukasa as well, stealing his Stealing Hand as well as a Syrup!
