To give you an idea...I'm at the 48K mark with Pure Death.

Use this handy dandy info: here.

Now that Pure Death is really hot...it's really good tasting though, too. But it's rated at about 8 or 9 times hotter than what a jalapeno is. My question is...since I'll likely buy again in a month or so...what should I try next? I started with Original at 30K...which wasn't bad...jumped a few to Pure and it's not bad...

To give you an idea of what something as hot as Ultra will do to most people, check this out. Showed Kirb that some time ago. I don't foresee myself coming out much if any better...

So I'm placing my lack of sense in your guys' hands...don't kill me.

I wouldn't go any higher than "Sudden Death". I've had insanity sauce a few times, at 180,000 Scoville units. And it's just ridiculous. I couldn't imagine what 1.1 million would be like.

Only two hints I have are that vid and the fact that it says on the site to dilute it. 800 times hotter than a jalapeno.

Well, I guess I can kind of imagine, which is exactly why I would never try it.

I like hot food, because it adds something to flavor of a dish. Beyond a certain point it's just masochism, though.

Yea, I'm trying to find that line before everything that I taste with the sauce on tastes like dirt.

So far, not too bad...I've had a few bites that have hit the back of my throat wrong like any sauce that's over the top but overall they've been really good. The only real recommendations I've had are two: the Original at 30K and the Mega at 550K.

Now why the Mega I'm not sure...apparently it has really good flavor but at that heat...what are you tasting?

Yeah, I don't know how you could taste anything with that level of heat. Not just in the sauce itself, but anything else for the next 20 minutes.

I could see using it as an ingredient, though. I used to add a couple of caps full of insanity sauce to a small pot of chili. With the jalapenos already in it it would give just the right amount of heat.

I must have gotten a little on my finger once though, and I made the mistake of rubbing my eye.

Go for mega death, and get used to sudden death. When you can stand mega, go for ultra.

Or take the short path and skip directly to ultra.

Assuming you eventually plan in trying it. 550k should do more than enough, considering.

What's the point if it says to dilute anyways? Then it probably ends up being at or around the level of what you're eating right now. :\

I'd guess that Sudden Death is edible without diluting but that might be your max limit...
