I have never really had any trouble with alarm clocks, or waking up for that matter. I always seem to wake up a few minutes before the alarm clock goes off, and then I just lie in bed waiting for it to go off, so I can get out of bed..

Sometimes I have wondered if I would really need an alarm clock, but I have never dared to try not using one.

I've done that one too.

If I have something particularly important to do (going to work or school seem to be the only things important enough), I can get up, but any other time, it takes a ton of effort not to fall back asleep.

My strategy merely involves a lack of sleep. If I don't get much, then when I wake up, my body hasn't actually gone into 'sleep mode', hence I can just walk out and start doing things endlessly.

It's surprised people before; people look at my tendency to sleep for 10-12 hours and think I'm a slouch, but then when put to the test I'm the one who walks out of the bed and gets ready in 15 minutes, then wait for the slower, sleep-ignoring people to get ready.

Same here. If my family were late to go somewhere they would be freaking out and I'd be ready for whatever ASAP. Although even then I get more sleep when riding to wherever we are going because usually I never have anything to do but use my Palm Pilot as a MP3 player. =\

Yeah, I'm not a morning person at all, but I will easily get up at 5 or 6 AM if there's something that I have to take of. I'm more worried that I will oversleep, so I have a hard time falling asleep at times.

Big problem for me is going to sleep after 6 a.m. I can't do it once I know it is that early. Instead, I just lay there and continue listening to the music I've had playing all night.

I don't need an alarm clock, but if I do set it up, I will wake up 15 to 45 minutes minutes before.

I'm a morning person.

Heh, I'm the opposite. I can't fall asleep in a moving vehicle unless I'm REALLY tired, like being up for 24 hours straight. I have no problem sleeping from 6AM to 2PM, though, as long as I have nothing to do.

I can just see Hiryuu bolting out of bed, glaring at his clock and saying "Oh no you didn't you little..."

Benefit of still living with your parents: they get you up when you need to be up. But when I started my job and we had training starting at 8 AM, I got pretty good at bolting out of bed when my alarm went off at 6.

Oh man, I barely got to my midterm in time this morning. That's what I get for resetting the alarm for later like 4 times.

9:00 AM: "Okay, I'll go to sleep now and set my alarm for 2 PM; that way I'll get 5 hours, more than enough for adequate rest."

6:00 PM: "blergh..."

...

"Oh god damn it."

I need to fucking record what goes on during this time, seriously. There's just no way.

Yes, record it to see if you actually turn it off or sleep through it or something.

It's getting turned off somehow; the physical switch is going from "Buzzer" to "Off".

Yeah... that is strange.

I should try something like that, but not on nights I go to sleep at 4 in the morning... =\

I wouldn't be surprised if it was your grandpa, given that he's still in your house... He is there, right?

Man, you sound like me. I used to do exactly that all the time. Nowadays I at least remember turning them off, but then I just fall back into bed anyway and wake up at 2PM wishing I hadn't slept in.

I'm at Scott's place, and this isn't my grandparents (though with all seriousness I will probably be going back to my grandarents house tomorrow.. er, today)

Beyond that, I don't know who it is...
