Totally agreed, except one: we don't want this place showing up on Google yet, and two: if we did it serverside, that would put shitloads of strain on the server

Er, why not?

There's nothing wrong with this place showing up on Google that I know of...

And on that note, searching just takes a while.

This board software is already too broken and hackish to deal with much more... I'd almost rather you just direct searches to me so I can look for it manually, if it's important. Otherwise, just bookmark important things.
