(if you already have one simply vote for "the day it comes out" or "eventually" depending on whether you bought it the first day or after)

Some of its features according to Wikipedia:

The built-in audio player feature called "Nintendo DSi Sound" serves as a voice recorder and music player of AAC audio, but does not support MP3s. This player lets users adjust pitch, playback and add filters when the aforementioned audio is playing. Audio can also be listened to while the device is closed. The audio player lets users save and modify up to eighteen ten-second sound clips from voice recordings done via DSi's internal microphone then apply them to songs. Another built-in software is called "Nintendo DSi Camera" that lets users modify photos with several options. Live feeds from the DSi camera, photos taken from it and pictures imported from an SD card can be manipulated. Photos taken using the DSi can be synced to the Wii's Photo Channel.

The Nintendo DSi is able to connect to an online store called the DSi Shop. Here, using Nintendo Points (previously known as Wii Points), users will be able to download DSiWare games and applications to the internal memory or the SD card of the user's DSi system. Each DSi that accesses the DSi Shop prior to March 2010 will receive 1,000 Nintendo Points. The applications will either be free, or cost 200, 500, or 800+ (marked with a 'Premium' tag) Nintendo Points.

The DSi Shop was launched with the DSi Browser, a web browser available for free download.

I am getting one because I still have my original DS that I bought the first day. Plus the DSi Shop and all the fancy new stuff swayed me towards buying it.

So, do you plan to buy a DSi? It will be released in America tomorrow (April 5th).

Maybe.

I'll still have my DSL and my SP to play my GBA games, so it won't be that bad.

Although, I'll probably be getting it after more homebrew comes out if I do.

Maybe eventually- I do like most of the design changes (though not the loss of the GBA slot, and I am somewhat skeptical about the power button- hot-swapping games sounds like a plus though)... but I'm definitely not getting one anytime soon, I don't have the money now for one thing, and also don't see anything that compelling... I'll wait to see what kind of stuff shows up with the cameras and such.

I really...really really really really really really really really really really really really really wish it had a GBA slot... that's actually a gigantic turn-off for me... the DSi shop is so much less appealing to me if I already own all the things that I would buy on it anyway...I have my GBA micro and GB Light/Color but thats not even the point... it takes away dual slot connectivity with games that used it as well. My cellphone can do all of those other things too...well except maybe the manipulation things. But I would not use that so much, anyway. And my cellphone plays MP3s too. Ehn... I'm just not sure. I'll probably get one eventually but right now there's nothing that makes me say "I need to get this"...

I might, but definitely not until it's been out for a while... I don't use my DS as it is.

Possibly, but not for a while; if I do it'll be as an upgrade from my original DS.

And I'd need a new flashcart as well...

For me it all comes down to what the exclusive games are. I don't need the camera or the MP3 player and I'm not really interested in downloading any virtual console games.

So basically, If there are a few exclusive games for the DSi that I want then there's a chance that I'll buy one.

For some reason, I thought it was already out!

No, I don't want one and I'm happy with my DS Lite.

My DS lite is perfectly playable right now, so I have no reason to get the DSi right now. Plus I never ever early adopt any game system, no matter the maker's reputation. I too believe that losing that GBA slot is a HUGE turn off. I just got into replaying my old GBA Fire Emblem games. I wouldn't be able to play em on this new one.

Nintendo wants to get us to re-purchase our GBA libraries with the virtual store. Not falling for that one again.
I'm still bitter from having lost my VC games when I had to send in my Wii for repairs. VC games I already owed in cartridge form in the first place...gahh

I'll get it on the first price drop...

Honestly, there's no real reason for me to get a DSi for a while.

-No reliable flashcard solution. Half my flashcard is filled with games I own anyhow, I just like them in one place rather than worrying about a dozen carts.
-The DSi multicartridge reeks of the GBC/GB era carts which supported both formats but ultimately ended up being annoying and/or limiting.
-The app store is region locked. What a load of tosh.
-Nothing exclusive that I'd want to play.

So yeah. Although to be fair, if someone threw me a free one I wouldn't complain...but I'm not about to go out and buy one.

I have a ds lite that i rarely use anymore so a DSi isn't too worth it. I also don't like it on the level of "Make us a new handheld that blows away the competition rather than a small update of the previous one!".

Nah. Even if I used my DS, I wouldn't want to trade my GBA slot for cameras and an SD slot that I would never use.

This.

For the moment I'm not even interested in the DSi. Truth be told, I rather have a sequel to NSMB than another DS upgrade.

Maybe if they fixed NSMB to suck less, sure, but definitely not like it is now. Ugh.

NSMB felt like it was missing something. :/

And I'm not getting a DSi anytime soon.

I've seen no need since day one, even with the recent announcements about DSiWare and shops. My DS works fine and I can play GBA on it. The only way I see myself getting one is if my DS breaks or something like that.

Now to hope Nintendo doesn't pull some bullshit with games like Zelda Spirit Tracks that have some arbitrary camera element tacked in forcing you to buy one to play it. If so, it'll be the first Zelda game I don't buy. Same goes for any of Nintendo's big name titles.

See, the reasons I may get one are, my DS Lite's L and R buttons stopped working, and for the eventual homebrew.

If I had a triwing and a flashcart, I wouldn't need one ever.

I have stood relatively firm in my avoidance of the DSi.

Until now.

GOD DAMN YOU CAPCOMMMMMMMM!

Even though I'll never be able to afford that package deal!
