There must be an accent and/or language you've heard that you totally find romantic/sexy/awesome or the opposite annoying/lame etc... What's yours?

For me there are a few; I find the Nordic languages (especially Norwegian) to sound quite cool and interesting. But as for accents, the one accent I find the most romantic is the British (Southern England) accent. I'd melt for any guy that can speak in that accent with a cute voice.

The only language I have found annoying is Mandarin Chinese (haven't heard Cantonese to compare) and (to a lesser extent) heavy German accents.

Melt for any guy? I didn't even know you were a girl :p I'm so clueless.... to be honest I think some English voices can be incredibly sexy, but it depends on the person entirely. Japanese men don't quite do it for me any more, they sound like total creepers when they're trying to be sexy tbh ... Chinese is incredibly annoying as you said and I don't know how any of them mate.

I am a guy... And I actually find Japanese to be quite pretty, much more than Chinese. I still prefer the English accents, though

I've heard the Midwestern accents are annoying and nasally. I wouldn't know because lived in the Midwest all my life, so to me we talk normal, and everyone else has an accent.

I'm not really annoyed by or attracted to any accents really, but there are some that I find humorous. More northern Midwestern accents are just hilarious (think Fargo). Also depending on what's being said Scottish accents can be quite funny, I laughed for a good minute when Carson on Stargate Atlantis said "My wee baby turtles!".

The closest I come to being annoyed by an accent is certain dialects where they overuse a particular phrase. For instance, while I enjoy the "Northern Midwestern" sound of the way people in the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) speak, their tacking "Don't ya know?" on to the end of every sentence gets old real fast.

French of British. And only spoken by a female. Males just ruin the sexiness of it all.

I find that older men with Spanish or Cuban accents sound... I dunno, just really cool and smooth. If I were to have an accent, that's the kind I'd want.

I can't think of any accents that I find attractive, though.

I'm convinced that Cleveland's accent is the most normal 'accent' for American English. I mean, we don't say anything weird-sounding.

Edit: Pronunciationally speaking. Grammatically, there's a bit of an 'accent' there.

I think technically General American is the most normal accent, which is around Southern Iowa. It's the most normal, in that, when someone is trying to "drop their accent", that's what they try to sound like.

I think guys that speak with a british accent are hot. Of course, that's just one small consideration, but it helps!

Oh, I totally agree with you. Something about that accent makes it so hot.

I have to admit, I've always been a fan of the strong european accents. Dutch, German, Swedish. I just find it pleasant to the ears.
