Yeah, minimal knowledge of langauges isn't fun.

Whenever I say some words I learned in Japanese in #acmlm bh always says I'm wrong, and it kinda discourages me.

I'm not gonna stop trying though, if I've learned anything, willpower is the strongest force a human can muster.

English, decent knowledge of French, minimal knowledge of Spanish.

I'm much better at reading and listening to French than speaking it, but I can do a fairly decent translation job there.

In High School I tried to learn Japanese by myself. I lacked the motivation to continue though.

That's awesome! I find Norwegian to be absolutely beautiful, I'd really love to learn it once I'm done with Russian and French (I'm taking French classes online which really aren't teaching me much)...

I plan to study Russian next week, which is my Spring Break, at least 5 hours per day.

I'm only really fluent in English. I took three years of Spanish in high school and was pretty good at reading and writing it during that time, but I'm pretty rusty now. I'd love to learn another language sometime in my life though.
