I would like to announce that Pyrohno (Eppy) is Jul’s Member of the Month for April. Above is the trophy and feel free to use it how you wish. Congrats!!

Anya: As mentioned in this thread, I'm starting up Jul Member of the Month and I was wondering if you would like to be member of the month for April.

Anya: Great!!! So how this will work is that I will ask you a question and then you answer and then I'll ask another and so on and so forth until we feel that we're done.

Okay, so first off, which name would you like to go by? And share a little bit into why you came up your user name.


Eppy: Ah yes, the username that I have stuck to. The one I use when I am A, not to lazy to type it out or (Eppy), or B, when I'm not pretending to be some Touhou character is Electrometer Prime. Now how I came up with such a long and complicated name takes me back to 2004........or was it 03.......No, actually it was 2002. I was so into the whole Metroid Prime/Fusion craze(When I'm not addicted to Touhou or recently TF2, I am a total metroid nut), That I wanted some sort of username that I would like. I was just starting to be on the internet at the time and was merely a part of Gametalk(Which I no longer go to, sadly). I definitely wanted a name that had a Metroid Refference in it, so I finally came out with the idea of having it be SOMTHING_Prime(I shoulda chose Plasma instead...). After getting the end down, I wanted to have some sort of a 2 meaning first part of my name(What a mouthful). Since I loved the Wave Beam in Metroid Prime, I decided it should be Electric or ElectroSOMTHING. For some odd reason that I can't remember, I decided that the second part should be a unit of measurement. Good Thing I chose meter, because ElectroInch, Electroyard, or Electrokilometer would have sounded weird xD

It wasn't till 3 years later that I realized that Electrometer was an actual word O____o;;;


Anya: Aw, so you're a huge Metriod fan, huh? Have you played all the games in the series or just a few? And how long have you been playing games in general? Any games from your early childhood that stick out in your mind?


Eppy: I have, in fact, played all the OFFICIAL Metroid games. This of course excludes the vast Multitudes of Super Metroid Hacks. I've played a lot of them, but there are some like Super Metroid Impossible, that I refuse to touch with a 50 ft pole.

I started at Super Metroid a little after it came out, I really loved this game and wanted more. So I got Metroid 2. Not as good, but I still enjoyed it. MANY years later, Metroid Prime and Fusion came out and my Metroidness was revived. I the went and got he first NES Metroid after connecting the Fusion and Prime Metroids. Then came Metroid Zero Mission, then Prime Hunters, Prime 2, Prime Pinball, and Prime 3. Now I wait for a new official one.

First time I started playing games was about the age of 2 or 3. The first game I started playing was Zelda 1(Yay current Zelda Classic addiction), and I beat the first and second quest of that game when I was 4 or maybe 5(Of course I had the players guide and my mom to help, I was too young to comprehend a lot). I soon beat Zelda 2, SMB2, and SMB3. I will admit, tha to this day, I have NEVER beaten SMB1, which is kinda scary. Still, the best game I ever played will still be Super Metroid.


Anya: Besides playing video games and visiting Jul, what do you like to do in your spare time? Any hobbies?


Eppy: Well, other than being on the computer....a lot.....

Well, I do have a job at Toys R Us and I work on the Videogames there as well as Cash Register when backup is needed(HATE). I also go to college, but I don't know what I am going to major in yet. Aside from the obvious, I live at home with my mom, so to help out around the house, I watch over the siblings, to make sure they don't blow the house up. I also take on the role of making sure they get to school(Thus, why I have to wake up at 7:45 AM every weekday morning) and back(Also why I vanish between 3:45 and 4:15 PM) as well as their after school activities(Away times depends on the day), which involves a lot of driving(AAAAAAAARGH). With work, Class, and that, Mixed together with gaming, I don't really do much else on my free time. I will usually go out with my friends on Friday, but that is to play Simulation games at the arcade and stuff.


Anya: What brought your to Jul? What brought you to the world of online message boards in general?


Eppy: I blame my old girl friend for bringing me online. I started out on Gametalk watching over the Metroid Prime Board. I eventually found a link to Metroid 2002, and later Samus.co.uk. after a while of being there, I became interested in playing Super Metroid hacks. While maintaining a hack list thread, I found acmlm board(in I3) and I began watching Insom's Metroid Screwed and Chopped hack. During that time, I thought the General boards were full of a bunch of morons. Fast-forward to now. I AM SUCH A HYPOCRITE! Rewind back to that earlier quote. When the boards split, I learned about what is now boar2 a few days later(Which is sad, considering I was idling on #rohmacking. Now fast-forward to the drama that ended up the next split between Board2 and now. After about a week, I think I saw a link to here and joined.....on the day of teh huge post spree(I think I did...). And here I am now, active more than I thought I woukld have ever been(And more than I am on any other forum).


Anya: I think I know what the answer may be, but, if you could be any character, be it from a video game, book, movie...who would it be and why?


Eppy: Oh god.... xD

If you are thinking Cirno, then.........yes

She is such a carefree idiot, much how I act like IRL. I would so be a Cirn(9)


Anya: Actually, I was thinking more the lines of something Metroid related. I should have known...

Eppy: Well, sure samus is an awesome bounty hunter and all that high tech weaponry stuff, but Cirno is a genius and you can't compare to that.
