I downloaded Skype back when it was brand new and never used it once. It hasn't been on my computer since then.
If I ever need voice chat online I just use Teamspeak

I still use it quite a bit and even installed 4.0, but quickly reinstalled 3.8 again after I saw how crappy the interface was. The thing about 4.0 is that once someone sends you an add request, they get added anyway, and you have to remove them later. I didn't like that.

I downloaded and installed Skype at a friend's request so that I could talk to him, but... have never used it at all. I'm thinking of uninstalling it.
And boo for radical interface changes.

Huh?  Usually when someone adds me on 4.0 (and it's usually a random Chinese user) I have immediate access to the block button and it sends my troubles away.

Our main use of it was because it was slightly better quality than Steam's voice chat.
But that got old pretty quickly. I haven't actually installed 4.0, and don't intend to.

I've never downloaded Skype because I find it just as easy to have voice conversations over Trillian. If I had ever really got into talking to people over the internet and did it more than once every 3 months than I might have gotten Skype.
