What tends to happen to me, is that I unlock the milestone as teh designated character, and I eventually stop playing. When I turn the game on again and play, then die, I earn the weapon that I was suppoed to get with the achievement. Happened with Natascha and I was playing Sniper.

So many things I don't get to do because my mom won't buy the (quote in quote)"VALVE COMPLETE PACK".

To mom: "When are you going to buy my $100 game pack again?"

To mom: "...did you hear what I said?"
From mom: "Yeah I heard you, I'm just not answering you."

And I already gave her the cash, which is really high for someone without a job. You guys always have the upper hand, both in and out of games. (Looking at Tanks here...)

I disagree.

Every game with "Half-Life" in its title is excellent and definitely worth getting (Yes, even Blue Shift), and once you add that to the cost of purchasing TF2 and L4D, it's already over $100. Once you add in all of the admittedly underplayed (for the most part) games, the deal seems far more than worth it.

I got bored of Half Life 2 about half way through. It's just...not that interesting to me. The only FPS single player shooter that's ever held my interest is Deus Ex, but that's because Deus Ex is a god among men in the gaming world.

Also, sale weekends. TF2 cost me $10 and L4D cost me $25.
