I've seen GP and actually played it, however the drifiting system was completely different (tapping break to do it or something like that) so I didn't enjoy it as much.

I dunno if I should vote on this. I have little experience with SMK64 so once I play that I may then vote.

But out of the two, DS was better because of online play.

	Mario Kart 64. This one really got me in Mario Kart, and it was one of my favorites. This is the one I spent the most time on, second one being Mario Kart DS. Mario Kart 64 introduced the back-and-forth miniturbo system, while (I think...) Super Mario Kart had a miniturbo, although it wasn't too noticeable. Either that, or you just didn't lose speed. Mario Kart 64 also introduced items that we've all come to know and love (who wouldn't love dragging a blue shell?), and improved items that were in the previous installment. Courses were made much more complex, and the Y-position/elevation could be changed. Mario Kart 64 added 4-player gameplay, which then has been available in future games (I'm not sure about Arcade GP, though)... I didn't really like Super Cirtuit all that much... but that was just me.

Despite my vote, my favorite Mario Kart was the 64 version. *shrugs* I played it the most, and it was the least broken, as far as I could tell.

Got to vote SMK. It sucked the most time out of my life than any of the others mentioned.

That said, never owned a 64 and doubt I'll ever play many titles on said 64.

For me it's a tie between SMK and MK64. MKDS would be up there too if its online mode was better, but leaving out 12 courses that included many of the best courses in the game makes wifi quite boring (especially since, as has been proven, those 12 courses are entirely playable online).

	MKDS; it has tracks from the old games, block fort is FROM MK64 =P, and luigi circut from DD, plus it looks about as good as MK64, has good music... the one thing it's missing is DD's Rainbow Road (Quite possibly my favourite Rainbow Road yet) ____________________

If you were somewhat targeting SquashMonster with that post, well... He kinda knew it about it. DD's Block Fort just sucked. It didn't have forts. It had... Piles of crap around.

I need to try out GP2 sometime. I didn't get that much of a chance to play GP1 though... Maybe GP2 will be better, including an easier-to-execute drift.

I actually wasn't a big fan of 64 and don't know why.

DS for me, simply because online play - with FRIENDS, not cheaters - rocks. And there was plenty of crap to do in the game as well.

64 was awesome, but DD just feels so much faster and has more fun tracks (more up and down and boosters and so on). The crazy items are a big plus too. 64 wins hands-down in Battle Mode though. All the others I've played screwed it up except SMK (which did still have a few design flaws, coughcoughbeachlevelcough).
