A right reverse turn, based on the wheel.

If you want to be more analytical and use that image to do it and use the car as, say, a compass, it went from 0 / 360 degrees to 270, which would indicate movement to the left or counter-clockwise.

I'd still say right though.

I am turning left, becouse I am facing gradually to my left, and as far as I know that's what is supposed to happen when you turn left.
And by that logic, the car is turning left.

Right and clockwise are not the same thing.

If somebody is standing to your right and slightly in front of you, he's on your right. If he takes a step so he's now slightly behind you, he's still on your right.

If, instead of him moving, you got him to that position relative to your facing by turning counterclockwise slightly, he'd still be on your right.

Whether you're moving clockwise or counter clockwise does not effect whether something is to your right or left.

Car was moving backwards, until it was suddenly moving to the right. Therefore, it turned right (and the steering wheel agrees!). Besides, it takes you to the right side of the path (as Kassad said), even if you're pointed the wrong way.

You shouldn't be reversing down the street anyway you horrible horrible person.

Also agreed. You're turning to the left, and turning counterclockwise.

Agreed as well, unless you turn too much.

Movement isn't part of the source of the problem. It's just how the car turned. For example, if you picked up a piece of paper with an arrow on it, which was facing north, and turned it ninety degrees to the left, it would face west, would it not?

Also, to help my cause, the wheels are turning left as well. And, if you were driving forward, and made the same turn (west to north), it would be a right turn.
