I've been slipping into my old posting habits that I had back at Milly's. I when I post a reply, I won't wait for the thread to show up, I'll just hit the link back into the section that I was in (ie General). I've noticed by doing this, the "new" icon will be next to the thread that I had just posted in. Usually when you're the last reply in the thread, the "new" icon doesn't show up, but it's been showing up for me almost every time that I post in this manner. Am I just going to fast for the board to keep up? Or is it just some glitch that I should just ignore? It really doesn't bother me, since I'll usually go back into the thread real fast or just hit "forum read" to get rid of the icon.

Same thing happens to me...the 'new' only removes itself if you've viewed the thread after ANY new post. Since you haven't viewed your new reply, it counts as such.

I actually had tried to fix it at some point, but, well... you know how it goes.

I'll see about fixing it in general soon enough, I wanted to make some changes to that system anyway.

I only do this if it's something realy stupid, or I want to change my wording.

I usually ignore typos I make though.

Honestly though, I never noticed this bug. I usually hit the section I want to go to after it loads, but before it jumps to the bottom.

I don't track posts other than in the SM64 forum, so while it is weird, it doesn't effect me much.

I post and forget a lot, mostly because I know mistakes are inevitable.
