My boss is on the job...sleeping.

I can hear him over here with the exhale-whistles. It's hard to keep from laughing. Poor guy.

Is it like a "man I am so tired from doing all this work" sleep or a "boy I could take a nap right now" sleep?

I nearly considered this. I have the markers sitting right here.

@ Peardian: I think he's not been feeling well so I'm being nice.

Well, he at least doesn't have to work all day tomorrow. I hold down the fort tomorrow from 11 on.

It's been a pretty slow week.

Hope he feels better.

I think I've only had one case of someone falling as sleep at work.

....well, maybe two. But this guy worked as a projectionist and slept in the booth when the theater was closed. So he really wasn't sleeping on the job...

Hell, I'd be sleeping if I was a projectionist.

'Specially if the movies sucked.

I had rollerblades and a PsX up in the booth when I worked, so even if we had sucky movies playing, I had things to keep me awake.

Wait what?

They actually let you get away with that kind of stuff?

We kept the TV hidden in the wall and there was only a few of us who knew about the TV. I would only bring the PsX when I worked. My friend who also worked there brought his from time to time as well. Plus, the GM and the managers on the floor never came up into the booth.

At my old job, the guy in the cubicle across from me would always be sleeping.

And everybody knew that he was always sleeping, but he'd wake up reasonably quick when somebody needed something. And he knew a ton, so they kept him.

I can't get away with crap at work because almost anything you'd want to get away with would be a security violation.

(To be fair, I could bring my DS, load up Pictochat, write down an account number and leave with it... so yeah, I can see where they're coming from.)

But it does suck not being able to do anything fun at work - well, except when you talk with friends and that always helps the time fly by.

Couldn't that be done a lot simpler with a cell phone, which I'm assuming they allow in with you?

Some places like that don't allow a cell phone at all and ask you to leave it in your car.

My job allows you to have your phone... They just take it as soon as they see it.

Never heard of a job taking someone's cell phone. Sounds like high school when the teacher takes away your phone until the end of class.

It also reminds me of the Hong Kong scene from The Dark Knight.
