There are many times where, in the forums I actually check, I'll see there's a new post. Great!

Then I look in the forum only to find "oh, it's in that thread I don't care about"

So I'm thinking it would possibly be an ok-ish feature to have a way to "ignore" certain threads from showing me that they have new posts. Not ignore the thread period such that I can't see/reply in it, but just ignore the thread from telling me it has new posts, so it doesn't affect the "total number of threads in this forum that have new posts" counters.

What do you think?

I think this would be a cool feature. Maybe an ignore forum, too. I don't need to see new posts in the Stepmania forum.

But it still shows up as a new post on the main page, and we can't have that...

Hmmm..I like the idea. But normally I'll just ignore the thread entirely and press the mark all read button...and repeat when needed.

I'd really like this.

I don't really pay attention to really long threads like ACS and Pub, and they get a lot of posts, so those are a pain in the but to keep having to mark read.
