You know, I've watched some Kaizo videos before... there are a few areas where you can at least SEE what's required even though you know it's nearly impossible to pull off and it's really not worth suffering over those hacks in the first place. But this? There's Kaizo levels that are more FAIR than this. You would likely wear out your savestate key on your keyboard trying to beat this. I watched that video and the level was absolutely sadistic. Please, someone... make a hack that's hard *BUT* beatable without resorting to wall-jumps, key tricks and bankshots with Koopa shells. ____________________ Colin's Babble... er, blog. ![]() |

| I don't even know whether some of these are actually possible for a human to do, sometimes I think some of these are solely for TASers to figure out. ____________________

Even if this is already the hardest possible SMW hack, we'll see Kaizo style hacks for other games. I know of one person who is currently creating a Kaizo Mario RPG. ____________________ |

| I see the related video entitled "wat". Good luck making it past the first jump without hundreds of save states. ____________________ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Posts = 975 Age = 587 Lv 47 Exp 738034 / 766203 LvExp 26260 / 54429 (48.2%) PostExp = 1135 ExpTime = 137.596 |

| The extreme hard versions from Super Mario World (hacks) go the same way the movie franchise "Saw" went:
More brutal, less chances to survive, unfair traps; but no real progess or new ideas. Just plain boring, but parallel to the sequels (in the movie just a showcase of those funky-looking death traps, aside a bad story) it may show a skillful player who does really good, but on the other hand it does not feel like a super-hard level anymore. Kaizo was a lot trial and error and while it was unfair, it had some fun. No fancy koopa shell jumps or using the double-item-squish glitch to pass through a solid wall, just "normal" frustration. At least the creator did it right and actually flipped down the munchers ... too many hacks have black plants floating in the air ![]() ____________________ ![]() |
