Searching the final square on the floor, William found a floating block labeled "OFF". Jumping up to hit it, it switched to "ON"--and the squares on the floor instantly shifted positions!

Sukasa, though on guard, found nothing to attack...

Kattwah and Darkdata's rests were slightly less refreshing than before...Kattwah only regained 1 HP, and Darkdata only regained 1 FP.

With the appearance of more squares, the four looked around the newly revealed floor tiles...

Sukasa checked his square to find a chilly Snowball that, somehow, didn't seem to be melting...

William found ten round coins on his square.

Kattwah idly picked up the 10 coins lying on the floor, but he was more focused on the message that his pager was displaying...
"Message 1: from Ninetales: Kattwah, where are you? I can't figure out where you are and your PDA is off..."

Darkdata found a mysterious Mystery item on his square.

Pocketing the coins and with another might yawn, his eyes shoot open after reading the message, and realizing it was sent over the emergency frequency, he digs through his bag to find his PDA, currently in sleep mode. A quick flick of the power switch and a rather long 64 character password later (The stubby hands werent helping with that) he was back in business.

Kattwah: Now... I know that I... should THEORETICALLY get reception in here... better than the pits anyway... mmf... searching... searching... access point found... signal low though...

He gives a check ahead to square 15 before focusing his attention completely on the PDA

Kattwah: "Reply (ninetales@pitSMS.jul): Where am I? Where have you been? Youve been out of contact since... well... you know. Currently climbing some tower that appeared the other day. Sukasa is with me as well as two others from down in TTH.

By the way, you used the emergency frequency. This had better be important."

He tweaks a little bit with the wireless settings on his PDA and pulls out the antenna before...

The four kept searching the floor...

Sukasa found nothing on his square...

Kattwah, though his check also revealed nothing, was busy sending a message. Within a few minutes, he had a reply...
"Reply (kattwah@pitSMS.jul): You're in that tower on Tal-Tal Heights...? I can see in the windows of the tower from a few of the security cameras around TTH and I can't see anyone in there, you or anyone else...

"I'm downloading myself onto your PDA. Be there in a sec."

Shortly after the reply appeared, a download progress bar appeared at the bottom of the PDA's screen...

William also found nothing at all on the square.

Darkdata bumped into a Kuppa, who returned the favor by bumping into him for 2 damage.

He then straps on his handy PDA belt, nestles it there, cracks his knuckles, and takes a running leap for the Kuppa, charging up a superstrike

The group split up to get rid of the Kuppa and continue trying to move on...

Sukasa's Fireball struck home, scorching the Kuppa for 5 damage.

Kattwah stepped up to bat and delivered a perfect home-run thwack to the Kuppa, KOing it with 9 damage. He and Sukasa split the 108 SP and 10 coins that were their spoils.

Darkdata, finding a shiny curtain hanging on the wall, reached out to touch it and found that it was a sheet of SP, 50 in all.
Behind the curtain was a long, dark hallway...

Taking only a short rest, the four proceeded through the hallway. As they entered, Kattwah's PDA beeped, signalling the completion of the download...

???: "'Ey! Kattwah! Ninetales reporting here..."

Another beep emanated from the PDA.

Ninetales: "...huh? No signal found...? How can there be no signal if I just got on here..."

The group reached the end of the hallway, entering a room with mine cart tracks leading up into several tunnels set in the walls. Several old, unused mine carts were toppled near the end of the tracks.

Ninetales: "...uh, Kattwah?...are you sure you're in that Tower...?"
