Lowest today than it has been in a year...

~7.3K and continuing a dive for a few days from ~7.7K. Some bank shares are below the floor...there's fear of bank globalization after the stimulus was signed into law and has been dipping every day since.

What it does pretty much, is limit the importance of stocks, as they destroy their value and control over markets.

If it keeps up we could just see people going "F U publicly listed anything" and leave the old corporate model in the dust.

Well...

Dow closed lost it's ever done yesterday since '97 (Next to 7100). It shot up 230 when a statement from the treasurer reassured and end of some sort to the recession.

The real rum will come once the State of the Nation speech is made tonight.

I would go as far to say we need to throw out this model with the Stock market entirely, because it's broken and useless. Keep private enterprise--but our model of share-holders in a corporation is dead, Jim.
