The speedtest seems to calculate it in kbps, not kb/s, which is rather confusing (seeing as it says kb/s).. So you're getting around 4kb/s, not 30kb/s.

Verizon DSL. It's pretty alright. 3mbit/s, unlimited banwidth. I'm used to 768kbit/s and also had 56k dialup for a good while. I don't understand these people who can't stand stuff that's over 1mbit/s. Sure you need to wait for a massive movie to download but it's not that bad; certainly better than not being able to make phone calls.
