Well, trying to get SHOUTcast working here is a pain, but from what I can tell it can be set to 16kbps, so you don't have to worry about too much upstream much if someone hosted it.

Might just be my damn router, but yeah, shouldn't be too hard to setup for those that know what they are doing and have control over their connection.

It can be set to 8...but only in AAC+ decode (meaning if people don't have the codec/plugin for Winamp they get nothing).

It's 24 if it's MP3. You can't do it if you're firewalled on port 8000.

Says I have to forward ports still, but even after doing that it doesn't work. Didn't work for setting up Utorrent, didn't work for this.
Not surprised, since the router is crap and my dad claims its the greatest when it disconnects me more than enough.

Unfortunately if there was no router only one computer in the house could be connected to the Internet, and I'd be out.

Still, could also be the fact that the thing the phone company gave us is a router and my dad decided adding a router to that was an awesome idea.

Thing is I can't touch my dad's settings on either routers on his computer without being "ARGH IT WORKS FINE DON'T TOUCH!" Also can't because he never installed the settings for the first router in the first place.

Couldn't you change the settings by going to the routers ip in your web browser?

And i know how it fells with the dad thing... As long as it works for them everything is fine. I got fed up once and just changed all settings to work for me without asking... I don't think he ever found out.

Same situation here. The second one is mine, so I do whatever with it, but the first one is the ISP gateway. However, I don't think they even know how to access the settings, or at least how to do it from other computers. (They use the default password too, lulz.)

I could probably change the settings of the first one but really, I haven't a clue how to access it without telling my dad.

I tell my dad, he decides its time to use every computer in the house to figure it out, meaning I can't do things while he does this. Not to mention I don't like when others use my computer in the first place. =\
