Ahhhhh...I've been waiting to find some excuse to get these babies handed out.

Okay, so I think it's been long enough that we can finally get you guys up to more than just yellow coin use...but that comes with a challenge!

GREEN COIN CHALLENGE

So what is this Green Coin challenge, anyways? Well, basically, it's a competition between you, the members (excluding my ass and X), in a sophisticated manner.

Gaming.

SNES via SNES9x to be precise.

OBJECTIVE

What we're going to do here is fairly simple. Challenges will be issued and at any given time you guys are responsible for completing it in the best manner possible. Most of these will deal in time attacks, some might be a certain amount of things done in a set time, some might be multiple things all judged by us. Most of them probably won't even take but a few minutes of your time to complete and the general idea is to have fun a sport a gaming ego or twelve.

What it boils down to will be a top three selected after a time of one week from the date that the challenge is posted. You will be responsible for getting the materials needed to complete this challenge (which will be supplied in this thread). You will be responsible for loading any given save state and creating a movie off it so that we can verify your performance.

Not only that, X has helped out with some LUA scripts in SNES9x that will add a special flavor to any of the challenges when it's called for. These are for your benefit to use.

PAYOFF!

After all that...if you get in the top 3, coins will be awarded in the following manner:

1ST - 5

2ND - 3

3RD - 1

TROPHIES!

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!

IN ADDITION to the following, I've taken a page out of these trophy systems we keep dealing with online for our gaming nowadays. There will be trophies awarded based on certain performances DURING your attempts for a ranking. The top three participants in ANY challenge will be awarded these, which they can keep track of however they feel.

B-rank trophies are akin to your bronze trophies. They're bread and butter stuff you can easily perform if you take the time to figure out how.

A-rank trophies are like your silvers. They require some serious effort to pull off as well as skill.

S-rank trophies are like your golds. If you can pull this off, you have some bragging rights, ESPECIALLY under the heat of a timed match.

But not only that...by getting these trophies...you get some nice stuff as well...

- 3 PER TROPHY

- 2 PER TROPHY

- 1 PER TROPHY

So you REALLY get a nice way to clean up off this.

Keep in mind, you only get a trophy IF YOU RANK! If you don't rank, you can kiss those nice tries goodbye. This makes getting trophies AND ranking VERY difficult and VERY evil when it comes to your payout of trophies versus greed. How you decide on taking this challenge to rank lies wholly in your strategy to combat that see-saw of a puzzle against everyone else.

GENRES

Now, the genres will fluctuate. You will need to show your prowess against the odds of knowing or not knowing a game when a challenge is posted. I'd like to keep it as close to popular games so that you guys can enjoy it but I may throw in a few games or so that you've never played before...so keep that in mind. Show everyone your skill by beating them down in a game you've never played! That is true skill.

REGISTERING

How you will go about these challenges for registering yourself will be simple - once you complete a challenge, feel free to send a PM to Tina. That will relay to us so we can go over them when the week is out for your challenge.

Once again, you have one week to complete something. Once that's done, we'll announce the winners and people that obtained trophies promptly after.

If you win! Good! That's great! That also gives you more economy to use against special things in the item shop or maybe something else that might be coming down the road.

If you didn't win, no biggie...once the next one is posted you have a chance to whomp some butt again in a different game and genre.

I assure you that I won't be THAT evil...but the trophies might be a different story.

You might have to do your homework on looking up stuff on GameFAQs to get a few of those.

Well I'm just talking in the sense that I didn't exactly play too many SNES games when I was young, and I don't really download random roms to play, so odds are the challenges will be in games I haven't played before.
