You bookmark this and click it when you're on the YouTube page of the video you want to download. Or look in your temporary files after watching the video for whichever browser you use.

Both sound better than paying. Instead of going through a whole payment, just *click* and the MP4 starts downloading.

The only people who would pay are likely to also have paid for everything else they can get free everywhere, I.E. Antivirus software. :p
