Oh my god, Kattwah's layout works!

After hearing a few specific people go on about how great this game is, I decided to "buy" it. I've played a bit of it, and I can see why people have been enjoying it. It reminds me somewhat of that one website (Fantastic Contraption?), except you're building goos up/left/right towards a pipe.

I've currently played up to "Tower of Goo", at which point I got stuck and quit for the night. Kind of irks me how the black goos can't be taken back once they are placed, but I guess that's part of the challenge, heh.

So yeah, I'm already finding it kind of tricky. Does it get extremely difficult in the long run, or does the curve of difficulty a fair one? I don't want to end up getting stuck within a couple levels.

(yes, I'm probably far behind the times with getting this game, but eh, sue me.)

My brother got it and I've played it with him a little. It's a simple concept, but the game has an amazing style. It reminds me somewhat of a Tim Burton movie or something. I love the soundtrack. Thankfully, the composer himself released it all for free on his site. The title theme is my favorite.


I want to play it more. I absolutely love the way the world maps are set up. Reminds me of SMW.

I love this game to pieces. It's so well done and the music is just . Anyways, difficulty-wise, it ramps up slowly until world 3, where a couple of levels are rather tough, but in most cases they were only tough because I was approaching them wrong. A lot of times the levels look really difficult and you think, "how am I going to do that?" but once you start on them they turn out to be easier than originally thought.

The last levels in the game are really tough though. Don't forget that you get 3 Skips per World beaten so if you find yourself stuck on a hard level, don't be afraid to use one so you can get to new areas.

My tips, when building, always think of gravity. You're not going for the OCD challenge right away, so don't be afraid to use an extra goo or two to reinforce your structure. Knowing how each goo works will also help immensely.

I borrowed this game than bought it.

It is really fun to play, and hard.

I also love that this game was DRM free. It is a nice change from the usual crap.
