Since this isn't too serious, I thought it would fit in Craziness better than in ROM hacking.

Basically I was messing around with NSMB and I remembered I knew how to edit graphics. So I made some random screenshots, and wrote a story to go along with them.

Could this be the first cheesy DS graphics hack (like so many SMB hacks back in the day)?


One day in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario went out for a walk in 1-1.
But Bowser came along and shot him.




So he was revived in his house. He slept for a bit and came back later.
But it seems that Bowser's troops have been drawing on everything in the Mushroom Kingdom!




Mario walks along further, only to find more blood. Random spikes have popped up. and other random things have appeared inside the ground.




Then he goes along, and in a horrible attempt to make this actually interesting, he discovers that it wasn't Bowser after all..




..but it is actually "Treeki"! Who would this "Treeki" be?

Mario goes back to his house to investigate.
He gets bored and goes back out for another walk. It seems that this "Treeki" has been causing more destruction.

The air has been filled with poisonous clouds. A Goomba with huge eyes walks towards Mario... what?




Mario speculates and thinks that perhaps the poisonous gases are causing the Goombas to become deformed. Oh no, what a mess this "Treeki" is making of the Mushroom Kingdom.

But Mario will not be defeated!

He continues along and reaches the end of the level.




He travels further on, and finally reaches Bowser's tower.
It seems that the mess "Treeki" has made still continues: the tower is entirely flooded! Mario is still not defeated; he swims through the tower.




However, sadly, the destruction of "Treeki" seems to end here. The flooding has blocked up the boss door and made it so Mario can't pass!
