So what inspires you to do something creative? Do you have a muse(s) or does it come naturally?

Personally, I always have to have a muse. Throughout my life its been people, locations (like a beach or park) and music. As of right now, I don't have one and I haven't been able to write anything.

Anyway, same here. I used to get a lot of ideas when I took showers when I was younger. Not so much these days.

Mostly because I shower in the dark, so I can pretty much turn off my vision and just kind of let my mind wander.

It's fun, but rather disorienting

I always get one in the shower too. Really annoying when you get a great idea right before bed that you can't write down and you know you'll forget if you go to sleep...

Like dreams, where when you wake up and don't take them down you forget then?

My muse is video games, I guess. Not really an individual part of it, but the whole experience of playing it. I take in the images and the music and the feel of the game and use it to pull myself into the world of the game. My two favorite subjects are scenery and enemies. (Example: my old Super Mario Art, wallpaper topic)

I'll admit, music plays a larger part than the rest of the elements. Listening to songs from the game pulls be in farther than just looking at screenshots could. I'll usually put on a song and listen to it on loop until I've finished the work, which could be several hours.



Walking is a good way for me to relax my mind and explore, but I wouldn't consider it a muse.
