I was actually out at 34th Street in Manhattan this morning. After I grabbed a quick breakfast, I got walking. I haven't done something like that in a long time, since I always take the subway or bus to places. It was really refreshing, especially with today's beautiful weather.

So, how much walking do you guys usually do?

Well, I have to walk to the bus stop and to work, plus I do a fair bit of walking around at work.

Nothing excessive but I'm not on my ass all day so it's not too bad.

Personally, since at my volunteer job I'm walking dogs for two hours I do get my fair share of walking done () but it's not so... refreshing. Today, I really felt invigorated as I was walking.

Barely ever. In my old neighbourhood, there was really nowhere to walk to. Pretty much all really young kids and old people for miles. In my new neighbourhood, it's a bit seedy. I'm still not 100% sure which way I can go and not be, like, mugged or something. I've only been here for a couple months so I don't know the area well, either. Also, really lazy when it comes to things that aren't immediately entertaining. :p

My neighborhood is suburban. Sure a lot of crime has been coming in lately, but I still feel safe around here. I walk every now and again. There are plenty of paths around our neighborhood's ponds.

I don't walk to places that I need to go, but I'll walk/jog outside for exercise.

I normally walk Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on campus after class, except when it gets too cold (or like right now when I'm sick). My campus is a big circle, so I just walk around it three-four times and that usually comes out to half an hour or more. I'd walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but my class schedule prevents me from doing it.

I used to do it a hell of a lot more frequently in college (i.e. about a mile walk to the nearest bus stop station, one way). Now, not so much...but I do have to walk around quite a bit at the office every day and it's a fairly big place.

Sometimes. Most often in conjunction with my "mindlessly drive around in busses"-tours (e.g., drive to some far away bus stop where I can't change to another one, walk to somewhere where I can)

Most of the time when we go home after doing something in town (shopping or whatever), we have to use the subway to a certain station and then use a bus from there to get home. It usually operates every 10 minutes. However, it only operates every 20 min. starting from 8 PM on workdays, 4 PM on saturdays and the whole day on sundays.

So whenever I'd have to wait 20 min. for the bus to come I'll rather just walk home, which takes approx. 40 min. (using the bus takes 15).

All in all, I don't mind longer walks, but I really hated them when I was younger

Not much walking going on in my life. Every so often I'll walk around the town but usually it is because I'm looking for a store.

I don't drive. Around here, that really only leaves walking or riding a bike. With all the hills, walking is often the easier choice.

So, yeah, I get enough walking done. More when I didn't have my bike, since I had to walk to get anywhere...

I don't walk much.
I do a bit more during spring, but other than that, it's either too fucking cold, or too fucking hot. :/

If I could be sure these streets were safe, and/or had a better schedule, I'd do my daily 1 mile walk around the town more often.

The only times that I usually walk are when I'm walking my dog or going to a friend's house that is fairly close to mine.

I walk when I miss the bus, for whatever reason. It takes 1 hour for 5 miles from home to college.

I walk everywhere all the time, living in a packed city makes it reasonable to do so.

My job involves walking and a lot of pushing things around.

In short: "yes"

Yeah, if I lived in the larger city area, walking would practically be the only option, with how traffic can be...

If I wanted to, I could walk to a few places around here, but there's this fear of being hit by a car that sticks with me.....

Luckily my metabolism keeps me skinny
