I cannot spell "occasion/al/ly" or "ridiculous/ly" correctly the first time I type them. I just did it now as well. They always come out as "occansion/al/ly" and "rediculously." Annoys the hell out of me.

"through", for one (I always leave out the r).

I used to be really bad at "surprised" ("suprised")

I often misspell "maybe" ("mabye") but that's more of typing too fast than it is misspelling

Almost everything I write by hand ends up mangled and mauled spelling-wise. This includes notes for class... ;;;;

As for typing I usually mess up 'though' (less often than 'through') and 'ridiculously,' though several other words (Vuplix, anyone?) are high on my messup list to

I also tend to capitalize the first two letters at the beginning of a sentence. Stupid slow fingers.

THIS. Augh I do this all the time! Drives me insane! I always do it with "th-" words...

I can never remember how "receive" is spelled. I have a tendency toward "ie".

I used to have some trouble with "except" by leaving the "c" out.

Now it's "weird" with "wierd", but it's rare when that happens.

NOT OVER YET
Separate's always screwing me up. I almost always end up writing it down as seperate.

"What" is another fun one; if I type just a little too fast, I'll end up with "whart."

Sountrack instead of "soundtrack", in about 99% of the time I use that word, I have to insert the missing "d". That's the reason why I take (such) a long time to write posts, messages or mails in English.

Pretty much any word that ends in -ly or -ally, I mix up. I have to think about words like receive and friend. If I type too fast I make a lot of typos that are pretty unpredictable, es.. on yeah, -able and -ible screw me up, too, sometimes. Anyway, I'm a typing butter-fingers. I backspace so much when typing anything.

Most words with 'i' and 'e' next to each other.

Let's see...

deceive receive thief

Those are examples...I screwed up the first two.

This, I managed to nail down believe just a few months ago.

Also guilty of capitalizing first two letters of each sentence.

I also fail at all long words but I blame that on me not having English as my first language. (Thank god for spell checkers)

Definitely.

Took me a while before I noticed that "definately" didn't look like the correct spelling.

Lieu is a good one too, I used to want to say "lew", but that looked ridiculous, so I just avoided the word all together.

I hate when I misspell things.

Very few words, but let's see if I remember all these words which I've had trouble with in the past.
Definitely
Possessed
Fiery

Hm... no... no problem there. Great, now I want to show off the words I can spell.
Impugn
Oprobrious (Well okay, I can't spell that, it's opprobrious)
Sanctum
Existential
Atrocious
Apathetic
Copasetic (Okay, this one is spelled Copacetic)
Inviolable
Cantankerous
Antidisestablishmenterianism
Symbiosis
Chivalrous
Incandescent

...Yeah. It takes some pretty esoteric words to throw me off. Blame 5 years of nonstop spelling tests.
