Yeah, I'm seeing people all over campus, and the entire DC area in general, wearing jackets that sport this logo. I know it's just like everyone wearing Adidas or Nike shoes, but there's something about this brand that really sticks out, and is very noticable when there are 10 people all wearing the same jacket, sitting in class with you, walking down the sidewalk with you, standing in the food court with you...

What's the secret to this strange anomaly?? I MUST KNOW!!

I saw a few of their products pop up on campus at college.

All I know is people used to get shot over these jackets...

They're very high quality jackets. A lot of people use them for outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and backpacking. However, their quality and relatively high price tags make them an excellent target for theft...

It's still really absurd how much these jackets stand out... I mean, why is it that I'm noticing these jackets more than any other brand? I can't tell what shirt someone's wearing, I don't know where their hat came from, I can't tell what brand (if any) those jeans are, but I can spot every damned TNF jacket in a crowd of 100. Why??

By comparison, my 20 year old slowly dying leather jacket allows me to blend into crowds quite easily.

I would never buy some 'trendy' jacket anyway. I just would want a newer bomber jacket, perhaps with some better insulation.

I want my jacket to be of use, not to be trendy. For example, my REI jacket is very lightweight and thin, but it's lined on the inside so it keeps me warm. It's also water-resistant so water won't soak into the jacket. It's such a great jacket.

You live in Florida.

I've seen these quite often... for a while I had no idea what the hell the "North Face" was and it confounded me to no end.

Now I'm just sick of seeing that stupid name everywhere.

My trend for wearing coats ended with Starter.

Actually, I have one I use rather often when I need to.

Mine's an American Eagle one, the only label I know of is in the inside (and the zipper, though that reads AE)

I have two, one's a big coat with Nautica plastered on the back. It's red with navy blue sleeves, and under the sleeves is white.

The other is a thinner jacket (more like a fleece), and it's bright red. It has a tiny Timberland logo on the chest. I like this one more because of how light it is, but it offers *no* protection from cold wind.

Mine too, I'm pretty sure. It's rather thin, though, and it has an eagle on the left. Been using the thing for a year or so by now, and it works...

Yes. I love my old leather jacket. Though not nearly 20 years old, it still has some scratches and such on it, which actually remind me of how it got them. It's got character.

The only thing you'll tend to notice here is how many people have the Montréal Canadiens logo on their stuff
