To be honest that actually sounds interesting. Not only being able to make your character type but also choose their unit and have those options affect character dialogue sounds like a fun idea, especially if you have characters of your own aside from yourself. I'm pretty sure I already now who I would make. (And I'm sure hiryuu knows too.) I skipped Shadow Dragon (though I probably should get it sometime) so maybe this is a good place to get back in since i also missed out the GC and Wii FEs.

I don't care if it's a remake. If a game in the same series last generation had better graphics, a better story, and better mechanics, you're doing something wrong. It's the only US Fire Emblem game I was disappointed in.

See, this is why I am not thrilled. I really do think that it will be more of the same utter dross that was FE: Shadow Dragon. IS can make good, new games in a series (See Advance Wars, Paper Mario) but they seem to be completely incompetent at keeping Fire Emblem fresh

Well, I don't mind style changes. Hell, a serious style could have worked but the FEDS one was so amazingly....boring.

It's like they distilled boring to it's most pure essence and lathered it all over the game.
