I saw that a couple of days ago - I haven't looked at it at all but hopefully it's less of a complete mess than Borokobo's Kirby editors (DreamTool, KBE, etc.) |

Very cool, I did something similar with PJ64/Nemu and SM64 memory (albeit cheaply, using ajax and windows' Read/WriteProcessMemory). I think there is a lot of potential for fun streaming events for this sort of thing; ie letting other people take control over certain aspects of the game while someone else is playing. |

Yeah. This is using WebSockets which is in theory more efficient than AJAX (less overhead) and a script running within the emulator (so no ugly OS-specific debugging APIs). Sadly WebSocket is horribly, horribly over-engineered, involving things like SHA1 and base64 and framing and XORing everything against random numbers for no reason, which makes it pretty slow in plain Lua... I'll end up having to make a C module. Ew.
For now it's just meant as an extended GUI for script stuff (send some info to the browser to display there instead of drawing on the tiny game screen), but you certainly can do other network I/O. Xkeeper had done something like that with 2-player Tetris IIRC. |

Another SMK hack im collaborating with another user. I make the tracks, and he changes the graphics and stuff. As for the theme, the characters are his friends, and the places are from where they live, Minnesota. I'ts another of those personalized SMK hacks, but this one is one of the better ones, with changed music and whatnot. |

I added all the maps!
Youtube I note this was fun because the map ID in the game internally was originally an 8-bit value. Had to expand it out to a 16-bit value. 65,000 maps ought to be enough. |

I'm just figuring out on how to use the editor KALE, it took a while but I think I'm getting the hang of it. When I get the first level done, I'll post a YouTube video. Also I found a wiki about the enemies for this game, since I beat this game years ago, you can see 'em in the editor, one I study which enemy is which it's gonna be on, and this hack will be a hard one... ![]() ![]() |

I literally have nothing to show yet outside of SMWC-esque "vanilla" nonsense but
![]() A random level. Currently it has nothing much, srry Most of everything here is placeholder lol I plan on adding ExGFX, Custom Music, program some ASM myself for gimmicks and obstacles... I'll probably use some SMWC and Japanese resources but I also wanna make my own resources so it's not too samey in comparison to other hacks I'll take level design cues more from less presentation-focused hacks like JUMP, ASPE, VIP I'll make sure that there's nothing that requires seeing into the future like Kaizo or Hyper tho |
