Here's some crap I started this weekend (cropped for your safety)

It's probably not recognizable from the screenshot, but that's the beginning of Stage 1-1, stripped of its tropical beauty and replaced with green blocks. I'm working on documenting the rest of the (somewhat large) level headers so I can get graphics loading and other stuff put in

Nice, looking great! I notice, though, that Caulder was missing a column of tiles on his right side, and didn't slide over far enough to hide that. Is that just a small bug that'll get fixed?

Yes, I'm planning to fix that. Finding the data that controls the sprite positioning has been finicky though

Testing a new sunset BG for the beach levels.
Also I managed to fix the unused volcano BG, so now it shoots rocks like level 8-8 volcano BG.

(ignore the floating tiles)

Still working on it. Holiday away + plague = two weeks without any progress.

Anyhow, no transparent overlay for the CO Zone - I figured icons should be self-explanatory enough

So a "big" user on the ROM hacking scene (Romi) released a new Yoshi's Island editor several months ago to replace the obsolete EggVine. It goes by the name of Golden Egg, and is similar to SMW's Lunar Magic in that it has a GUI, header information, and all that. I never actually gave it a shot until recently, but having made a full hack in EggVine before, I wanted to see how much better this editor was. Needless to say .. it was pretty awesome.

Here is a level I made in it a little while ago. Enjoy.

Looks good Pony.N.N! (I've not played much of SMW2 so my opinion is mostly useless!)

Glad you can bash out levels quicker. :p

Hm, so Golden Egg actually shows the level graphically as opposed to EggVine's squares?

The level looks pretty neat, YI really allows for a lot of clever level design concepts.

Thanks.

It shows a fully graphical interface, exactly like Lunar Magic. Only a few things aren't actually rendered. However, it's still in its early versions, so a lot of things (palette editing, a gradient tool, etc.) have yet to be incorporated.

Holy balls, its SNN. Long time no post. Although I kinda wish you hadn't posted your level. Now I wanna use that and make a level too, when I should be studying as well. Actually, I felt the same way couple months ago when I stumbled upon DahrkDaiz's SMB3 editor, Reuben. I felt compelled to play with it and make a level, never could figure out how to actually export my level and play it though.

Great work as always.

Tried my hand at importing one of my SM64 custom levels into SM64DS (though SM64DSe) and the result was actually quite stable.

I managed to recreate the Ghost house clock from SMW into NSMB.

I am trying to implement more decoration or objects into the tile set since the original one is so empty...

If collision gets better I might seriously consider making a mini SM64DS hack. For those that are wondering I'm using SM64DSe v2.3 to import these levels.

Wart boss from SMB2 - now in SMW.

Yeah - it's just a port-over of a boss, but I suppose I could show it anyway.
