Well let's see... It's been about a month since we've even mentioned our hack but here's what we have so far. For those who don't know, this is a remake of SMB on NSMB.

1-1: 98% - requires a little more time with the hex editor for tiny tweaks.

1-2: 10% - It was 88% until we ran into a little roadblock... so we had to do some work with level pointers and we are now restarting the process.

1-3: 94% - needs some work with the platforms to get them perfect and a little more hex work.

1-4: 5% - We've begun work on 1-4 though we fear we're liable to hit a major road block with this level sooner or later.

Well I guess since this is a screen shot thread I might as well star showing off now

Of course, just get an M3/R4 and a 1gb micro SD and you're set. I use my M3 for testing most times because I find no$gba be a bit of an annoyance.

LV 1-2: still in development, but here are two screenshots to show you it's general direction. It is an overground mine type level,which has holes looking out into some mountains. a lot of stone blocks are used in this level

Left: Beggining of cave, you have to smash the blockage on top of the pipe to be shot into the main part of the cave. but wait... how can small mario break the blocks? hmmmmmm....
Right: where you land after being shot into the cave. The flagpole coming out of the pipe is just for amusement and a sort of "landing marker".

The underground level is about 2/5 done now, and now after shooting into the second section, there are two starcoins hidden in plain view around there. They only thing to figure out is how to get to them.

Hello Kitty world (1992) is the last NES game that features music from Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka. (Mastermind behind the music and SFX for Donkey Kong, Balloon Fight, Balloon Kids, Duck Hunt and many other early Famicom/NES games, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Dr. Mario, he "invented" and worked on the GameBoy Camera and wrote some of the early Pokemon TV show tunes).

Pozeal, that level looks great! Only thing I would recommend is changing No$GBA to use proper colours, not dimmed colours. You can do that by changing GBA Mode in the settings to VGA (poppy bright).

Well, I finished stage 1-2 and I am now just beggining developement of 1-3
here are acouple of screenies from the finished 1-2 that you have not seen

Left= the third "area". Less industrialized looking, although there is a see saw bridge at the begging.
Right= the end. there IS a fourth area, but I do not want to give the entire level away
