Depends on the casino. Soaring Eagle in Michigan allows 18-year-olds to gamble, but most Michigan casinos, even Native American ones, make you wait until you're 21.

You can gamble at 18 in some Canadian provinces though

My wife was 19 and wanted to go so we went down there. She played the whole time and was never asked for ID. They card at some of the higher end casinos here in Vegas, but most won't unless you're standing around the tables. Slots they don't really care. ____________________

When I went in 2003, the gambling age in Minnesota was 18. And the drinking age in Manitoba above it was also 18.

Really? I didn't know there were entire US states where you could gamble under 21. Of course, I've only gambled in Michigan and Ontario so far. My parents are big into gambling, so as a kid sometimes they went to casinos and explained to me that you have to be 21 except when we went to Ontario, and that was in at least New York and Nevada, so I guess I falsely extrapolated that to all 50 states.

Not that it matters for me now, being 22 and all
