I've gotten back into Phantasy Star Universe recently. There's an event running called the 1UP Platinum Cup; it's a good way of not only gaining levels, but a bunch of rare items, as well.

Basically, the Cup will run for about 4 weeks. Each week will have a theme to it. The first week has two missions available: "Invisible Road" and "United Front". In them, you are trying to reach the end (umm... duh?), but also find special 1UP chips.

At the end, you're ranked based on how many of the chips you found, how many enemies you killed, and how long it took; if you do well enough, you can do a "Special Mission". In those, you're essentially locked in an arena and wave after wave of enemies will appear; each enemy has something like a third of its normal life and several times its normal rare item drop rate.

Oh, and during the qualifying missions, all enemy experience (including the boss) is doubled.

I've been playing on the US PC/PS2 server, if anyone's interested.

There was a helicopter here. It's gone now. The only proof of its existence is a smouldering cockpit, and the exploded remains of a rocket with a trollface.

Aside from trying to get back into the habit of playing Kingdom of Loathing, I've disocovered that my laptop can run ZSNES perfectly fine...

Wild Guns: It's a shooter with a sci-fi western theme. I wound up playing it after seeing a video on YouTube that had a brief clip of the game.

Pushing further into Odin Sphere again...got caught up last night on Mercedes' run-through on the end of chapter 4, mostly because I didn't have enough items to beat the boss. That said, it really is all about the alchemy you do ahead of time that dictates whether you're going to win in the game or not. That sucks.

Mercedes is awesome, though. Best character so far.

I started playing Twilight Princess.

Its about time I actually sat down and played it. Unfortunately the nunchuck is loose and giving me problems.

I've recently gotten addicted to the Roguelike genre, which means hours of pain and death that I for some reason enjoy. I like ADOM most out of the ones I've played so far, although I wish there were more places to go to. Once I beat the Puppy cave I had no clue where to go and wound up dying while wandering aimlessly. Also, swimming is bad, all my spellbooks got wet and died.

I just finished Twilight Princess and the ending was liek omgwtfpewpewlaserz. I personally didn't like the outcome of the whole game. And the final battle? Pffff, it just didn't feel like an epic fight between good and evil.
Spoiler:
Zant fight was better than the whole Ganondorf vs. Link sword match.

Any suggestions for a new Wii game?

EDIT: Nevermind, got Mario soccer game. Time for some Wi-Fi!

Drill Dozer.

I dunno why, but I wanted to try it out. Now I'm hooked. Its quite a fun little platformer. Had to get used to B not doing anything but look around and open doors/answer messages, but now I get it.

AND YOU ATTACK WITH A DRILL! What's more awesome than that?

Sadly I'm emulating it. I really should buy it for the rumble feature.

I actually put that in for a moment the other day just to take a look at how far I got. I've got about half the treasures and was working on the very first stage just the other day but must've missed something. You can't even get the treasure in the -first stage- unless you have a Mega Bit.

I'm slowly dragging myself though Riviera. This would be my 19th* time loading my 3-1 save because I got interrupted and there's no "suspend" option. It's fun, but not ... over and over.

Otherwise, I've occasionally played XXXX (SMB1 hack), Super Mario R(andom) (SMB1, Dahrkdiaz), and Stack Columns/Columns 3.

Stack Columns has the absolute shittiest ending ever, by the way.

This one comes in more as a form of a question...

How the @)#*(!()@! do you beat Meritous after you get the Agate Knife? I can only kill one form of the last boss with maxed stats and everything. If it weren't for those side lasers always draining my shield I'd have a better chance but...

Well, I've just purchased Oblivion GOTY(PC of course, yay Mods!), so I'll be playing that, alot. It's so far so good, which is to be expected after Morrowind, but the first Oblivion gate took me by surprise, and I wound up going through with just the starting armor at first, and I refuse to touch the difficulty slider, so that was pretty painful.

I'm starting to play WoW, on a third-party server... So there are only like.. 10 people online.

But it's accelerated EXP/Items, so I'm over level 40 in just a few hours!

Lol, this funny thing is I was just about to post this game. I'm doing a no-shield run, am I crazy?

Anyway, for that battle. Stand behind one of the big square blocks and let Anixil press his head against it to no success. Then run to the brick on the opposite side of the room and blast him. Always charge your PSI circuit to its maximum, except when he goes nuts with the stars in form 2. Then charge to like level 10 and attack with small bursts of power; that will destroy the stars as well. I agree that the laser beams are the most irritating thing here, they will put huge dents in your shield and leave you open for weak bullets to hit you. Just stay behind that brick and you might not be too affected by them...

When you get to form 3 and the colors go crazy, standing behind the brick is again the best idea. Your shield will deflect hits from the circular bullets and become no weaker, so just worry about the huge laser waves he sends at you, which will rip through your shield like it isn't there. Whenever you whack Anixil with your Circuit, he'll fly off in the opposite direction at high speed, so just blast him when he gets close while hiding behind the brick. I've actually managed to beat this form without getting hit before, though I think that was more luck with Anixil not feeling like ramming into me at high speed. I usually just go for maximum charge here, as there are no bullets that are destroyed with weak charges.

BS Zelda Map2/Fourth Quest, which is now one of my favourite Zelda games. I hope to be playing Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles soon, and the download should be done in about half an hour. As for games I have been playing recently, Rockman 2 DASH/DASH+ (No, not Rockman DASH 2, the hack), and the occasional bout of Gradius 2 (The version in Salamander Portable. Completely different to Gradius II). Oh, and Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Tara's Adventure (Couldn't find Cobi's Adventure), and finishing off Dragon Warrior 3 GB (The best version of DW/DQ 3, in my opinion. It also makes me wonder when Nintendo stopped over-censoring games...). I am good at multi-tasking, as it seems...

You're gonna hate the post game. Phantom Brave's system of leveling is pretty much a 'welcome to Hell' motif. It's the worst out of all the games in the NIS series based around Disgaea. I got up to the third or so Laharl fight myself after acquiring Flonne and Etna.
