Spectral Souls (PSP): An SRPG by NIS America/Idea Factory with awesome artwork and a solid story. Unfortunately, there are more flaws than positive moments in the game:
-The game is coded so badly load times are almost unbearable. Even on a memstick at 333mhz, it really shouldn't take three minutes to finish a spell animation.
-...which brings me to the next problem. Battles can take several hours to complete, due to your characters' lack of movement and AP, incredibly laggy animations, dialogue, and absurdly large amounts of enemies (you'll be doing 6v10s more than you think...)
-The difficulty curve. The enemies level up as you do; however it's much more of a curse than it is a blessing. You'll often find yourself fighting enemies several levels above you, even if you grind to lessen the gap. This is especially true in the later parts of the story, and even moreso in the Otherworld Gate; you'll be outnumbered enemies ten levels or more stronger than you, which have insane stats and AP.
-The Otherworld Gate is impossible after floor 50. Not only do the enemies outnumber you almost two to one, but they have several million HP and enough Move and AP to hammer you with every high-level spell possible all in the same turn. "Cheap" doesn't even begin to describe it. Unless you're level 300+, have the required skills, characters and AP to perform several Thousand Deaths or Blood Circles successively, it's best to avoid it entirely.
(I'm currently stuck in floor 80. Even with CWCheat, this is still annoying, due to the fact all the doppelgangers have over nine million HP. )
Urge to murder rising.
