Turns out kit is sharing with RL friends, so I'm all cool with sharing a 4 pack with some other people. If not, I will just pick up one copy in a few days or something.

Steam makes me wonder if Valve will be the one to usher in the digital age of the Gaming industry... as opposed to physical media. It's nice to be able to save money on disc publishing, packaging, and whatever else is involved with physical media and pass those savings on to the Gamer. Valve is doing what gamers want, and it's showing. I mean, look at the prices of these games! I'd play them if only I had a computer sufficient enough in muscle to play them.

I think valve just has so much money that they can afford to reduce all these games, and as a result everyone purchases them and they get even more money than they had, and can keep repeating this cycle with all games that are starting to lose popularity / sales. The fact that there is no mess with packaging and whatnot makes it ideal for most people to buy from them, especially if you live far from a city center or something.

Bought some games offa Steam. Global Agenda, Ben There, Dan That! and Time, Gentlemen!

Global Agenda is fun, since it turned free-to-play some time ago and a few of my friends play it.

Well, the thing with having no physical media is that you have a set cost (making the game) and generally the cost for servers, which also doesn't change much. That really helps with prices because more copies =/= more expenses

Which is also good for us.

If there's anyone that's going to school anyone else on how to cater to gamers, it's Valve. It's kind of their thing. Microsoft has Core Gamers, Nintendo has ingenuity, Sony has... who the fuck knows (Valve) and Valve has... ears. Counterstrike was a user mod of Half-Life and it took the hell off. So much so that Valve jumped on it and it has now become the legend of FPS's. Portal was also a user mod (it was known as something else) and again Valve leaped on it. Not to mention all of the other fan-based decisions that Valve has made. Steam, like it or not, will be the one to usher in the digital media age of gaming.

So why don't I have Steam again? Oh yeah, my computer sucks shit.

Valve just listens to what the community wants because they are a company based on communities (see: counterstrike, tf2) whereas most other companys work away from their fanbase / customers and make decisions without any input from them (which is better in their situation)

I actually picked a new copy of this up from GameStop for $19.99 the same day I got my Wii.

Not sure if it's gone up due to being a deal or not, or if it was just a location-specific thing, but I'm pretty sure this is one of the cheaper games.

I suggest getting a DS flash cart instead and run them from the DS GBC emu. I gives pretty much the same experince while on the same time saving you a lot of cash...

Though, if you really want a real copy then your best bet is small online sites with people selling games... or stores that sell retro games.

I've got it on a GBA emulator, but having the actual copy is always better

Looks like I'm going to be Googling for a while yet ¬¬

You can always find a better deal on Amazon. I don't understand why it'd be that much unless you're seeking a new copy or something
