The Red Gyarados was giving me trouble, since it kept doing Dragon Rage over and over, and on top of that, Gengar kept missing with Hypnosis. At least I caught the damn thing, unlike last time when I played Crystal a while back... =/

I'm currently going back and forth for my 6th team member, and I already have:
- Koffing (about to evolve soon), Lv32
- Ampharos, Lv32
- Feraligatr, Lv32
- Alakazam, Lv32
- Gengar, Lv32

I'm debating as to whether I want a Dragonite or a Skarmory for my 6th team member right now... =P

Heh, I'm currently right in front of the Gyarados, restarting for an Adamant one just so I can feel like my "competitive" Gyarados is also shiny.

As for my brother (who now has all the badges ), he still can't believe I "only" have 5 badges. He's bugging me about where Suicune is now.

Is Suicune still at the entrance to the Tin Tower (or whatever, the same as in Crystal)?

Man, fuck Dragon Rage.

Did anyone else notice some sprite/effect glitching when fishing? I headed East of Ecruteak and fished a bit... sometimes the '!' would pop up over my Pokémon instead of me. If I were riding a bike, it'd play the bell sound just before starting the battle. Odd bug... will have to experiment in more populated areas to see if it does anything even crazier.

I noticed this bug just the other day when I went to go fishing in that area and I got the '!' to pop up over my Typhlosion ♀ though I wasn't on my bike when it happened and an odd bug indeed.

And now I am on my way to give the SecretPotion to the sick Ampharos in the lighthouse and then a battle with the gym leader.

Got my friend to send me a Pokemon with a Shiny Stone to evolve my Togetic. Now I just need to get a heart scale and get Aura Sphere for it. I also got a Cyndaquil and Larvitar from my friend who was breeding them like crazy. I trained the hell out of 'em yesterday and I'm on my way to face the Elite 4. Just have to go through the cave I despise so much, Victory Road.

Finally decided on Skarmory, and trained it up using a combination of the Exp Share, Whirl Islands and trainer rematches. Now it's at level 38, with the rest of my team... I'm trying for at least level 45 before the Elite Four. =D

I wonder if I'll get lucky and get another shiny Extremespeed Dratini, like when I played Crystal on an emulator last year...

Lv. 39 Panzer (Dragonair)

The Magneton got traded over from Pearl. It has no nickname because I originally got it from a friend who didn't nickname it. I'm refusing to let my Beedrill go up a level until I reach Blackthorn because I want it to forget Rock Smash first. I learns Poison Jab next level and I don't want to get rid of Pursuit or Twineedle. And I'm sure as hell not deleting Swords Dance. Considering trading over TMs for X-Scissor and Brick Break from Pearl for it as well.

All right! Now I'm actually getting somewhere! Just reached Azalea Town. It's been so long that almost all of this stuff is new to me, but at the same time has this weird sense of "I've done this before". I really like all the subtle features they've put into the game. Falkner's Gym was awesome.

The second time with Lance was successful, and I managed to beat the Elite Four... since Aerodactyl and Charizard were just mere jokes with Feraligatr, but that third Dragonite was the most trouble...

Now I'm going through Kanto, and will take on the Saffron, Celadon, and Vermilion gyms first... but I'm going to save that for another time, since I'll be working on other things over the next few days... =/

Beat Clair. I used the Move Deleter to delete the HM moves I'd put on my mains and decided to actually use HM slaves for once. Taught Dragonair Draco Meteor through the old woman and am considering replacing Dragon Rush with Aqua Tail so I have a strong water move on her.

So yeah, time to head for the Elite Four after a bit more stuff. I might do Whirl Islands now, maybe not.

How to beat Roost: Hypnosis, pray, repeat.

I'm getting behind now (still in burned tower) because I haven't had much chance to play recently. At least I can still level up on the walk to school and back. I try to do that more for the ones that really need to level up now so they learn some useful move (ahem Meowth) since I don't imagine they get any EV points that way...

the new item finder though. So much nicer than "there's an item in the general vicinity!"
