A few of my classmates brought their Pokéwalkers, but nobody's worn one on a belt or anything where it's visible. College is SRSBSNSS. I've been naming all mine the same way: Totodile is Water Dude, Hoothoot is Owl Dude, etc. However I've had to deviate from that in some cases. (Exeggcute becomes Omelette, which is probably spelled wrong, because Togepi was already Egg Dude; Vulpix becomes Firefox because I just couldn't resist, and not being able to rename traded Pokémon kinda sucks.) I swear there's something wrong with this Vulpix though. Confuse Ray rarely lasts more than one turn, Will-O-Wisp misses maybe 60% of the time, when it does hit, an enemy with Shed Skin will shed off the burn that very turn most times (this literally happened 3 times in a row) without taking any damage, and he gets poisoned at just about every possible opportunity. (Fuck Poison Point.) With others, the effects last longer and they get poisoned much less often. Seriously, almost every time:

Every Poison Sting (or Poison Point) successfully results in poison, every Shed Skin takes effect immediately, most confusion lasts only one turn, and Will-O-Wisp misses nearly every time. But only when I use Vulpix.  Otherwise random events seem sufficiently random (though it's not at all uncommon to miss twice in a row, no matter what the attack).
(I guess the accuracy is normal though, since it has "75%" accuracy, and Pokémon has always had a mapping something like real=((displayed-50)^3)/1250 when it comes to accuracy.  Yes, it goes below 0% and the intercept isn't quite right, whatever.)
Has anyone tried using Action Replay? Does it do anything ugly? I'm sorely tempted to use some not-actually-cheating codes just to fix some annoyances such as the health alarm.  In some places the interface could use some tweaking too. (Yeah I'd really like to know what this TM is, what this item being held does, etc.) Since GBA though, they've been known to do nasty things in response to such devices, and I doubt anyone's patched such behaviour already...

| I've reached Olivine City and I yet don't got a water pokemon that I can use to surf, gonna try trading for one unless I can find one of my own. Leveling up my Quilava, Mareep and Nidorina to at least level 30 and above before going any further with my journey. |
