Clair and Lance were easy because I had my Feraligatr learn Ice Punch. Killer attack stat + attack based ice move=Easy as hell 8th gym and champion experience.

Haven't been playing as often, so my new game is still at Union Cave, probably will play my DS tonight and get to Whitney at the least.

Mmmm.. you're right, I will be putting my nidorina under training and allow her to catch up with my top 2 pokémon, and I'm still attempting to find myself a Ditto for the pokémon league, and maybe I'll find an psychic type pokémon too while I'm at it obviously for backup.

Other than that I think I made some very good progress in the game with just 2 of my pokémon for the time being, just really need to get my other pokémon trained up to par.

Yeah, I used Ampharos for her Gyarados. If you would need one, the store in Goldenrod City sells Thunder and though it isn't the most accurate it should hit most of the time. I do remember her Kingdra giving me a hassle.

I think my Feraligatr had a Speed boosting nature, because it had an unusually high speed stat.

I still want to teach Fire Punch to my Typhlosion for when the battles get really tough, my Ampharos knows Thunder Punch already so I feel my Typhlosion should be able to punch too. On a side note, I may be getting an eevee from a friend soon so that will help a lot in my journey and I'll most likely use an water stone on my eevee and evolve it into a Vaporeon too, a vaporeon is a 'must have' for me and hope its a girl too, but that doesn't really matter to me though I prefer most of my pokes to be girls for several reasons mentioned in previous replies (the opponent making male pokemon fall in love for instance ).

I really should teach Attract to my Ampharos, since Parattraction can really come in handy when you're stuck in a rut, but will be useless against other female Pokémon...

Also, I finally managed to make it to Lv4 on the Voltorb game... only to lose it shortly after... =(

Friggin' Pokéwalker. "Wild Furret fled!" Fuck you it did not it has no HP left! D: I guess I'm supposed to just catch everything even if I don't need it...

And yeah I'm sure there must be more of a pattern to the Voltorb game, that would eliminate the chance aspect entirely. It would be fun if it were faster (none of this "is this what you expect?"nonsense) and didn't drop levels, screw that.

I haven't used my pokewalker for a while, again because of my lack of time lately, but I may upload my nidorina into my pokewalker when I go out on jobs tomorrow and I'm certain to get my walk counter ticking up really fast, depending on how much I walk tomorrow.

Its been so long since I rode my old bicycle, not that I ride them anymore anyways since the chain has decayed over time and the tires are beyond repair.

And big hills are usually a problem for me on my way back home when I have only one route to take, but I'm kind of used to walking up hills by now. Gonna upload my nidorina to my pokewalker tomorrow morning before I go to work, and I'm hoping it is possible to catch a ditto from the pokewalker, unless somebody can tell me otherwise...

Caught Lugia, Lv70.

• Killed itself twice because of LOLSTRUGGLE
• Had it down to ~1/2 HP, but in the yellow
• No status ailments
• Used 30 Poke Balls, 1 Premier Ball, and 2 Friend Balls
• The second Friend Ball was a success
• Using some formulas afterwards, it turns out that I had a ~0.5529% chance of a capture

That leaves the three legendaries from R/S/E and D/P/Pt before I go off training for Red

oh and i need to trade for latios with a friend later, once he gets his DS back

I used Ultras in my first two attempts, but I wanted to do something a little different the third time around

Charizard - Water/Electric.

So as long as you can OHKO (Or close!), and have a couple of revives, it shouldn't be that bad.

Then again, you need something damn fast on those Dragonites, hence me getting stomped like, seven times in a row before I finally figured it out. :specialed:

Except that this option isn't any good once you have all 16 badges because the Elite Four goes into Rematch mode and has pokemon into the 70s iirc.
