The rules have been updated, and the game will begin shortly.

Aside from integrating the new rules from Round 4, the only major change is that the Trapper now has to build traps, which takes a night round to do. This makes the role of the Trapper a bit more complicated, but it introduces the potential for more strategy on the part of the Bystanders.

I'll wait a little while to see if anybody has any last-minute concerns about the new set of rules, though.

Seems interesting, does that mean you start with 0, and each night round you automatically 'build' a trap and can use it the next round? So would it theoretically be possible if you build 2 traps that you lay them simultaneously in Night 3?

Read first post that was updated to find this quotation.

4: The Trapper will either tell me to build a trap or PM me the name of a player. If it is the same one that the Mafia chooses to kill, then a Mafia member will die along with the person in that room. If the Doctor enters after the Mafia, then the person is saved. However if only the Doctor enters in the night, the Doctor is dead.
Also note so nobody does it without knowing of the danger forthcoming

10: If the Trapper traps their own room, they will get caught in it unless somebody else triggers it first.
Means you will die almost all the time if you try to do this, I read

Better question: does a trap that's built but not sprung stick around beyond the round that it's set? This answer will determine an even more complicated dynamic concerning having multiple traps on any given night and the possibility of the Doctor running into any of these aforementioned traps.

You start with one trap, and you can place as many traps as you have during a night. (Only one per room, though.)

Once a trap is set, you can't use it again.

Think of it this way: To get rid of the trap without it setting off, you need to disarm it, significantly damaging it in the process.

Actually, I was meaning that once a trap is set, it stays there until sprung, not that the trapper would be capable of relocating it. I know that flies in the face of every other round so far, but I think what with the extra Night necessary to actually build them, the ability to stick around for more than one night would certainly compensate (and plus would work beyond the death of the Trapper, increasing his or her usefulness).

Either way, I don't mind the mechanic; it's kinda the same as before when you couldn't trap multiple nights in a row, but better in that you can build a small supply and trap a bunch all at once (better coverage).

No, as that would kill the person living in the room unless the trap is sprung, just like when there's a trap set in the Trapper's room.

Alright, thank you for the clarity. It works out either way, since you did mention you can use as many traps as you have available in the night without duplicates.
