Ah, damn you, reverse psychology I really thought that my role was useless, basically because if the Godfather visited my room, I'd die and if the others visited my room, there wouldn't be enough day rounds left for ultra deduction.

Also, if I just had been awake the first night I could have proven CB's innocence (if he is the Sheriff)

BTW I think the "hear nearby activity in adjacent rooms" thingy is pretty obsolete.

I like them both, to be honest. The idea that the Mafia have the ability to simply determine who someone is rather than actually making a kill is intriguing, to say the least. At that point, though, it all depends on the host of the game making the announcement properly... I think I'd prefer it if the rule was that if no one dies in the night, the announcement is the same regardless (so there is no distinction between if it's because the insomniac was awake - if that's still an available way to avoid death - if it's because the doctor saved the individual targeted, or because they simply chose to scout instead of kill). I think that would be the proper way to balance them all together, should it be implemented.

Anyways, that's literally the most I've said here in 7 months; I'm slightly proud of myself.

It would seem to be a little over powered to give every mafia member this ability. In larger games this could give the mafia complete contol over the game. However, I would be in favor of giving only one mafia member this ability.

You realize that the Mafia should all know who each other are, and can communicate with each other freely; further, this is a replacement action, not a extra action. If the Mafia chooses to scout instead of kill, that's it, no further action is taken by them. It does trigger Insomniac's ability to listen to adjacent rooms (depending on which Mafia member orders the scouting), but does not trigger the Trapper's trap. Anyways, I don't see it as being all that overpowering, since knowing who someone is doesn't give entirely too much power, not to mention that it takes twice as long to kill a specific person (one night to scout, another to kill). It almost seems to give bystanders the edge by up to doubling the number of rounds they have to sniff out Mafia members (depending on how much this ability is used).

Anyways, that's my interpretation of things. This also depends on the Mafia being organized, which isn't always the case...

Don't forget, the no-trapping thing is an option; you could have the trapper's trap still work as a balancing option.

Also, here are the rule changes/additions I'm taking into consideration. If there are no objections, they will all be added in the next game as is.

2. Instead of killing a player, the Mafia can instead choose to determine the exact position of any given player. If they decide to do this, they will be immune to the Trapper.

3. The Insomniac will stay awake every night. (Remember, he is no longer immune when awake.)

4. The Trapper can choose when to trap, but he still cannot trap more than once per two rounds.

5. If the Mafia is placed in a situation I deem to be impossible to win normally, they will automatically win at the beginning of the following Day Round.

6. None of the private messages I send you may be presented publicly unless stated otherwise.

I'm sure someone else will find use in this, but somehow I don't see much use in it. I'll prob'ly see it at some point, though.

Clarify something for me.
Day1: notrap
Day2: trap
Day3: trap
Day4: notrap
Day5: trap
Day6: notrap
Day7: notrap
Day8: trap
Day9: trap
Day10: notrap
Is this an illegal move or could it possibly be allowed? If you notice, every group of two rounds (1-2, 3-4, 5-6...) only has one trap to go with it...
