Me and mariofanatic64 have been making a Replica/Remake of the nsmb beta version.
Features to be implemented:
The beta desert levels from e3 (see videos below)
Other beta levels based around screenshots and trailers (undewater, tech demo levels, mushroom)
Beta Castle and Desert Graphics
Beta sfx and music

1-1, 1-2, 1-5 and 1-Castle are done, but 1-3 is currently completable but not finished.
1-1 is the E3 05 level.
1-2 is the underground level. (unfinished)
1-3 will become the mushroom level.
1-5 is the rope level.
1-Castle is the E3 05 castle.
Beta ? block graphics - not animated yet.
you will have to take the secret exit out of 1-2 to advance

Custom gfx should work both on flashcarts and emulators. For me they work...

The problem is that the bottom screen is glitched with the levels with custom graphics in no$gba
and on the acekard2i the levels with custom graphics crashes at the screen that says the level number (1-1,2-2) |

Probably your rom is corrupt... Try getting a completely clean rom, editing gfx in it, and test in on no$gba and flashcart...
EDIT: BTW, what editor version are you using? In 5.1 i fixed a bug that caused problems with several flashcarts, maybe it's affecting you...
EDIT: Could you post a screenshot of the glitched bottom screen? |

| i use 5.1 more often but when it comes to tileset editing i use 5.0 because 5.1 freezes when i import tilesets |

| i figured out why the game is glitchy, it's because the game is not corrupted, but some of the levels are corrupted. so i have been re-making 1-1 on a new rom and it worked perfectly on flashcarts and emulators. |

hmmm... Strange.
So the level file was causing the bottom screen to be that garbled?? It's kind of weird... |

This happened to me when mixing different backgrounds with editor 2.2 the bottom screen went garbled...
here are the backgrounds in the glitched version I was sent from mariofanatic64

It'd be a very good idea NOT to touch the level settings in 2.2...
When I first added them, I didn't know much about how the level format worked. Even now, the "settings" bits of the level file aren't that well known.
Modifying them using 2.2 will probably cause problems - so just avoid using it altogether. |

I havent touched the beta remake with v2.2, I was just presenting a similar problem to what we have here. |
